I've enjoyed parts of the show, and do think it's better than LC.
The Danny Rand character is by far the worst, most aggravating Marvel character so far. "Wah, im gonna leave everyone trying to kill me alive b/c killing is wrong!"
And then he goes on SJW rants over the poor people, while going out and immediately buying an Aston martin DB11 and a convertible Aston Martin Vanquish.
Madam Gao is probably my favorite character, almost had me rooting for her to win @ one point.

Wife and I just finished it. I liked it. Certainly had some cringeworthy scenes, but it was nowhere near as bad as the reviews suggest.

Anyone else notice that Bakuto was Shia LaBouf's irritating roommate from Transformers 2?

I really like Ward in the show. Even though he had some villainous scenes, I found myself rooting for him. I think the show was pretty good, and the defenders is really starting to come together.

The show already struggled with how it depicted Danny’s treatment of other people. He mansplains kung-fu to Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick), a skilled martial artist with her own dojo. And the issue only gets worse when it turns out the Hand, Danny’s primary foe, includes most of the show’s people of color.
When Iron Fist introduces Bakuto (Ramon Rodriguez), Colleen Wing’s sensei, he’s initially treated as an enlightened mentor figure. But soon, we learn he’s actually a Hand leader. And worse, it turns out that Colleen’s lower Manhattan dojo isn’t a sanctuary for at-risk youth, it’s a proving ground for Bakuto’s personal army of Hand fighters. The idea that underprivileged young men and women are being preyed upon by a cabal of evil non-white people is deeply uncomfortable, and it’s amazing the writers didn’t see this problem.

What's funny is Luke Cage got praise for being "socially conscious" which was basically a bunch of middle aged black folk telling young black folk how to act. That kind of preaching normally gets the SJWs triggered.

Just finished it. I liked it a lot.
I thought the fight scenes were lacking. You could literally see them waiting for a punch or swing at times. Just wasn't choreographed well at all. I also thought Claire brought nothing to the show, and irritated me pretty much anytime she spoke.
What I liked was the story. And I look forward to the defenders.
It was a lot better than Luke Cage. I'd say a tad better than Daredevil 1 for me.
I like the Iron Fist character, as well as Daredevil, and want to see them together.
Also Colleen is sexy.

I finished it last night after a solid binge and I still don't see why this show got so much hate by critics.
The action wasn't quite to Daredevil's level, but they were still fun enough. It lacked a strong central villain like Kingpin or Killgrave, but the story line was interesting enough to make up for that. The only real complaint I have is that Danny Rand is kind of an annoying character, and Finn Jones isn't a great actor. Outside of that it was an entertaining show to binge watch on a rainy Saturday. I think I may finally be giving up on Rotten Tomatoes. 18% critics vs 82% audience is just ridiculous.
Last thing to mention, I think Iron Fist, like the other Marvel shows could benefit from shorter seasons. I think 8-10 episodes would be the sweet spot. Iron Fist had its moments where it drug along like all of the other Marvel shows.

I wanted to punch Claire through the TV. Joy went from trying to defend Danny to wanting him dead within one scene. Davos is a child. Danny is a child. Why is an entire city reliant on one person with an iron fist that drains his chi and can't sustain his power. Why not do a 300 style fight and fight them in the narrow part? Just seems dumb to rely on one.
Anyway, enjoyed the show.

I actually don't mind Claire. She seems to be the one character grounded in some form of reality throughout the 4 shows.

This hasn't been nearly as bad as I expected. I am liking it more than Luke Cage which I simply could not finish.

Iron Fist and Luke Cage would be boring together. I do not like the guy playing the Iron Fist.

Ready for this?
Claire: Don't kill anyone
**Gao in dojo scene**
Gao: What would happen if your mother was involved?
Claire: If you hurt her!.... (Killing implied)
So when it doesn't involve her, don't kill.
She was very very annoying with the no killing.
She has no business telling people who can do something, stuff.
If someone is so powerful and connected can't really go to jail because they'll just get out, they have to kill them. If they get out and kill others, that's on them. They are responsible for the innocent lives. If killing one hurts them mentally, they don't have business being the hero.
There's a difference in a murderous villain and a non violent villain in this scenario
Btw, I was excited for Superman to kill zod

I mean, yeah, I get it, but that's kind of a common conflict in superhero stories. I don't have that much of a problem with it.

I don't either but it was too much IMO with Claire. I didn't notice it with her in the other shows as much.

On episode 4. Show is pretty decent so far, but him "putting his foot down" to sell pills at cost has no basis in reality. Where does he expect profits to come from, if not from the products they produce? No one is seriously that stupid.

So if an asian actor was cast as Iron fist this would've gotten good reviews. It's fricking sad what our society has turned into. Good lord.
