Did you flip a coin to try and decide which comic book thread to post this in? Or did you just wake up and decide you wanted to be extra trollish today?

I've watched three complete episodes so far. It's not bad. Not daredevil good and the lead is a little bland but it's entertaining. I want to punch Ward in the face but his dad is great. Hope it picks up some going forward.
Still haven't watched Luke Cage and not sure I will. He was always my least favorite on JJ as far as a boring hero with little weaknesses.

Here's a shot at Marvel:

This is the perfect example of why I don't pay attention to critics or reviews.
Iron Fist is much better than Luke Cage.

While I understand the hate for Iron Fist - the fight scenes were far from as good as DD (but honestly, my wife would have liked them more, because she absolutely hates the darkness and brutality of DD's scense), the character himself is kinda all over the place, and the enemies also seem all over the place - I actually really liked it. I find it to be equal with JJ and second season of DD - not quite as good as season 1 of DD, but absolutely demolishes Luke Cage, the most boring crap on the face of the earth. The story was extremely fleshed out, and I'm really hoping the enemy for the Defenders comes out of this storyline - because the depth they could go with the mystic arts is insane.
The White Samurai was the bright spot, and I cannot wait for them to do a Daughters of the Dragon storyline - I also believe this show is setting us up for a faction of The Hand that is actually on the good guy's side
**Small Spoiler**
Biggest downside to me: K'un-Lun, like seriously, why would anyone feel connected to that abusive piece of crap place, and why would Joy EVER join forces with that a-hole after Danny just saved her life?!?!
***End of Small Spoiler***
Also well done on the writing staff - for bringing us full circle on Ward

His inclusion on JJ made JJ a much shittier show in my honest opinion - I almost quit JJ because of him, even though the show was pretty cool

Somehow it took me until the 3rd episode to realize his dad is Faramir

You might want to put a spoilers warning on that Biggest downside sentence. It was pretty vague but I can see it triggering people.
SPOILERS
Yeah, I like how they played Madam Gao. You have to think she wants to use Danny for her own ends, but she's not really acting like his enemy.
Who was the White Samurai, Bakuto? And I have no idea who the Daughters of the Dragon are but I imagine it's a samurai version of this.

Also, White Samurai is a made up name, but I always liked to call her that in the comics... cause well, she always wore white, and was a samurai - it's Colleen

Ward and his dad carried this show IMO.
Ward really grew on me. And the father was a fantastic villain.
Danny sucked HARD though. I was hoping he'd die all season.

I don't get the hate for this show.
I watched it all the way through. It has its weaknesses, but it's no worse than any other hero-driven TV show.
It didn't exhaust me like some of the other Netflix Marvel shows, like Luke Cage and Daredevil.
(Spoilers follow)
The Good: I like that the writers took us over the edge and back again with a couple of characters like Ward, Gao, Harold, Davos, Hope, and Colleen. At some point in the show, you either liked or disliked the same character. I liked the actress that played Colleen, and David Wenham.
The Bad: One of the worst written and performed characters was the Iron Fist himself. I found his character inconsistent, prone to strange temper tantrums, and waaaay too emotional for a warrior monk ( I get that he's supposed to have emotional baggage). I initially found his stranger-in-a-strange land schtick interesting, but lost interest with his indecisiveness and waffling. I also wondered about Claire's character. She says more than once that she knows people with special powers. Iron Fist is fighting the Hand, who she is familiar with, and panics over. Maybe you could help a brother out and give Daredevil's fricking address to the Iron Fist??
The Ugly: Some of the set designs were lacking. See the China episode for the "worst" examples of this. Marvel surely has enough money in its pockets. Let's dress this thing up a little.
Overall, not bad. I was entertained. I grade it a B-, mostly because I've seen this sort of thing before (kung fu superstar vs. kung fu army, drama ensues) with Daredevil.
Looking forward to Defenders.

Yeah. This bothered me. Claire was an idiot. She was always preachy and going on with sermons about doing the right thing. I'm like "hey biotch, how about you shut your hole and call your buddy Matt over to the dojo?"

Exactly. That was an eye roller for me.
Claire-I had a super powered friend who went up against The Hand and lost, so there is no way you can win by yourself......
Well, give the son of a bitch a call to help.

He's too busy getting Luke Cage's charges dropped.
Remember at the end of that series that Claire said she'd get in touch with a good lawyer that she knew to help him out?
Now that Foggy is working for Hogarth, Matt is on his own (well, just he and Karen, but she's working for the Bulletin)

Matt being a lawyer never prevented him from being DD.

No, but Seagate Prison (where Cage was sent back to) is off the coast of Georgia.
Best case, he's at Ryker's, which is still quite a distance from Manhattan.

I know they didn't have time to bust Cage out of prison, but when Ward tells them "you're not getting up here unless your bulletproof" you would think Claire would ate least flinch a little if not just say "I know a guy..."

So you are saying Mattnis too busy studying for the GA bar too tight the hand.
