Only thing that kept me from going all in on Don's side in this episode was that he never even congratulated Dawn on her promotion even in passing. That bugged me. For all of his other flaws he's always been one of the best about handling and even promoting the upward mobility of the female characters in the office, and he didn't treat Dawn well at all.
This was odd. I thought he may not know about it at first. He certainly was still treating her like she was a secretary.
And Joan really pissed me off. I used to like her, but the Jaguar thing ruined her. Don was the only one to stick up for her. Who cares if he cut the account? She's turned into a selfish bitch, and is scared that everyone is a threat to her new Accounts position.

I would have bet good money that Roger was going to end up OD'd/dead when Don was waiting for him to show up.
Don and Roger make this show for me.
Lou is a complete prick and I cant wait for DON to own him.

He saw her name on Joan's old door. I'm not willing to let him off the hook for it.
And you mention Joan and her new job. She needs to sack up and go ask Peggy for some advice. For all the derision and clear jealousy she shot her way when Peggy was coming up into the "man's side" of the office in the early seasons, she's the only character in the office who Joan could go to who has some experience at handling it. But Joan is way too proud to do that. She's just like Peggy except that she held on to the story book ending version with Greg and a baby a lot longer than Peggy did.

I feel Harry is vastly underrated by this agency. Kind of funny seeing the evolution of TV advertising and how nobody has a vision for media.
Commissions on Media Buys generate all of the revenue for the agency, and nobody even cares about him. It's always been strange to me. And the computer isn't the first time he's had the foresight to see where things are going. He did start the TV department after all.
I have a question that's been ignored through 3 episodes. Why is Lou even there? I just don't get it. Ted to LA made sense while Don would still be handling creative in NYC. But once they put Don on an ice flow, shouldn't they have demanded that partner Ted stay in NY to handle the huge bulk of the creative work in NY and send someone like Stan or Peggy out to LA to handle Sunkist and any other possible new LA business? Doesn't make any sense to me.

Busy with the new CBS comedy The Crazy Ones. Not sure if that is going to be picked up for a second season, though I really enjoy the show. We might not being see Bob Benson again outside of a small cameo as long as his other show is on the air.
At first I hated Don accepting those terms, but then I realized he feels that he has to rebuild at SCP. He will accept any terms required to get a foot back in the door, knowing his immense talent will bring him back to the top as long as he can control his demons.
My biggest concern is when they are in a potential client meeting trying to close the deal and Don is hamstrung because he cannot go off script. He has closed many a deal with his off-the-cuff speeches in seasons past. I wonder if they will somehow play this up with Don knowing what needs to be said to get a new client but unable to do so because it is not in the pre-approved script.

This is going to be very interesting to see.

I think many here have missed a major point in Don Draper's character.
He's not actually Donald Draper.
He's Dick Whitman.
He didn't say "ok" to the offer because he's a badass executive who is about to whip tail and take names. He took the offer because he's really a scared, lonely, and desperate boy from the sticks who had a whore for a mother, an abusive father, and no one to turn to after he was nearly killed in a war that gave him no purpose.
He became Don Draper to put on a mask that gave him a life that most men dream of. The ONLY reason why he achieved that life was because Roger Sterling had a small lunchtime conversation with him and Dick decided to step into the office. He did a great job, but don't let him fool you as he fooled everyone else. He was Dick Whitman acting the part. Saying the right things. Drinking the right drinks. Wooing women. Getting a family. Landing clients and making Mad Men money.
When the company kicked him out, he became Dick again but tied to the things of Don Draper - the apartment, the wife, the kids. And it made him depressed.
The offer was total shite. No man who respects himself and no man who has a citywide reputation of being the best in the business would take that offer. The real Don Draper would have landed a major gig at another company within a few months of being put on leave and would have by this time already been swiping clients from Sterling, Cooper, Price.
But Dick needs his comfort zone. He needs Joan, Roger, Cooper. He needs to be in the office where he molded himself into the character he wanted to be. Without Sterling, Cooper, Price, Draper is just Whitman, and a Whitman boy has nothing more in his destiny than to hang himself in a hotel room.

Does anyone know what type of watch Stan is wearing in this latest season?

Damn. That was pretty intense.
I wanted Don to rip them a fricking new one.

He's so freaking underrated in that agency. He could get PAID at another agency, but I feel like he can't make himself leave SCP because he wants to make partner.

Does anyone else think it could be foreshadowing that they are putting don in lane's old office...

I'm shocked Don accepted. He should have been bought out and went work elsewhere.

Might be my favorite Roger moment.
