re: Alabama negative recruiting: Baton Rouge Crime - CrippleCreek on 1/2/17 at 3:41 pm
At the moment Alabama has the best coach in CFB history who is in the midst of one of the greatest runs in the sport's history, and LSU has a coach with no track record of success in producing consistently successful teams or preparing players for successful NFL careers. Alabama also has superior...
How in the hell could he do better in business after football going to Bama than coming back to set up shop in Louisiana?
Maybe he has post-football business goals that go beyond a desire to simply trade on his name and he thinks Bama would better prepare him to achieve those goals...

It definitely was. It was good because the battle was great. The rest really drove home what a homerun they hit with Ridley and Driver in the main story though....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: The OFFICIAL Rogue One: A Star Wars Story ***SPOILERS*** Thread - CrippleCreek on 12/15/16 at 9:47 pm
The characters were bad, but the battle was absolutely bananas. Possible best battle in SW filns saved a movie I was really not enjoying. Basically it was a movie in service to one fricking outstanding set-piece....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Should Donald Jr. and Eric really be a part of the transition team? - CrippleCreek on 12/14/16 at 5:05 pm
It isn't a nepotism issue. To the extent Eric and Jr. running the companies are part of Trump's plan for his businesses and avoiding the potential for conflicts of interest, they shouldn't be involved in the transition. If for no other reason than that avoiding even the appearance of impropriety ...

re: ***Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Official Discussion*** Spoilers - CrippleCreek on 11/27/16 at 9:15 pm
I was really enjoying this movie, and the fact that it was mostly light on using callbacks and references to the other stories as a crutch. It was a cool use of the world to tell an original story. Then Depp turned up, brought in grendelwald, tethered the whole thing to the main saga, opened ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2)

You don't have to make it a "condition" The potential staff and who a candidate would like to keep for continuity are obviously points to be discussed in the interview process. Eliminate anyone who doesn't say they intend to keep Aranda as a high priority from contention for the job....

re: Buckeyes fans: you are not getting screwed when you don't make the playoff - CrippleCreek on 11/13/16 at 2:40 am
The playoff is owned and run by these conferences and it exists in direct response to LSU-bama. Champs are in, non-champs are out IMO. That is just conjecture until tested. I'm rooting hard for PSU/Wisconsin and OSU to win out. It will be stupid no matter the result, but the committee has gott...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)

re: Westworld Season 1 Hype Thread. Premiere 10-2-16 - CrippleCreek on 10/3/16 at 8:55 pm
I'm under the impression we saw the first day of the sim 3-4 different times. There were a few different lines, most notably the return guest calling his previous trip "the best 2 weeks of his life," that indicate the timeline of the pilot isn't exactly linear. It has to, or the show would drive eve...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2)
Couldn't they just make it a platform for businesses?
Jared said that this was the true value of the tech way back in the pilot.
Ehh I think their original plan might have worked if Ramsay hadnt pulled that shite with Rickon
And Sansa tried to prepare Jon for that sort of thing too. re: Game of Thrones S6:E9:"Battle of the Bastards", HODORS ONLY(No Book Readers) - CrippleCreek on 6/20/16 at 10:59 am
Sansa doesn't trust Jon to lay the necessary trap properly and sacrifice most/all of his loyal force to secure victory using the Knights of the Vale. He'd either want to involve them in the main attack or would tip his hand to Ramsay. Sansa not mentioning them to Jon confirms to me that she knew the...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (4)
re: Trump's in trouble. - CrippleCreek on 6/15/16 at 9:33 am
Trump seems reluctant to hire professionals to run his campaign, and when he does they have been shunted aside relatively quickly it seems. The failure and mismanagement of his campaign organization sort of flies in the face of the thinking that he's going to "hire the best people" and just let t...

I thought it was certainly funny, but it suffers some from having to pull punches since everyone under the sun is "in" on the joke. As a delivery tool for the songs and music videos it was great though, the TMZ bits were awesome, and Hader's roadie interview was probably the highlight. Hard to...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2)
