We are a civilized nation. We don't watch a movie and then go out commit crime and mayhem based on said movie. No Jews were attacked after Passion of the Christ, as many Jews feared they would be. The Muslims fear attack because that is how their culture operates. We value life and rule of law f...

re: Re: Underrated Spy Movies - The Good Shepherd - LeonPhelps
I love both The Good Shepherd and Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy. Deep thinking spy thrillers are right up my alley. One of my friends and I quote The Good Sheperd all the time. "You are alone and without a country." "We have America. The rest of you are just visiting." "I've let a stran...

I have hated Tom Brady until this day (for his success against my team). But now I am a huge fan. I was hoping some players would stand up the arse clown we have in the white house now....
Signs (saw 3 times in the theater) How many times have you seen Paul Blart 2 so far?
I appreciate your attempt at movie elitism, but Paul Blart 2 has a 0% on Rotten Tomatoes while Signs is sitting at 74%. It was a well received movie and I know a lot of people that loved it. ...
How do they make perfect creature noises, and how do they expect to pass down the tradition over time as people die off
You are way over thinking that. I simply enjoyed thinking it was a true middle-ages village the entire time and the totally unexpected twist at the end. I appre...
Signs had a twist at the end. You find out the aliens are the stupidest damn things ever and the whole movie was a waste of time
I was trying to determine if the water thing and the death bed hallucination from the wife proving prophetic was actually a twist. The water thing was s...
After Earth or Avatar
I really enjoyed Unbreakable, Sixth Sense, Signs (saw 3 times in the theater), The Village, and Lady in the Water. I refused to see The Happening. Avatar began to diminish my desire to see M. Night films and After Earth demolished it. ...

I will now buy a ticket to support the producers for standing up to the PC bull shite. I won't actually sit through the movie because Adam Sandler has not made a funny movie since Happy Gilmore. But I will buy the ticket nonetheless. ...

Probably 1% of the population, all ugly feminists, were offended. The other 99% could not care less. I would venture to guess more people were pissed off these guys were "forced" to apologize then were upset about the original comment....

4,5,1,2,3,6 4 and 5 will be more impactful if he has not seen 1,2 and 3 yet. In 5, he finds out Darth is his dad, and then we get that whole back story with 1, 2, and 3. 6 then caps it off beautifully. Going straight from Revenge of the Sith to Revenge of the Jedi is a nice way to end it....

re: Would a female president be more hawkish to appear strong - LeonPhelps
That is the only way a female can win. Thatcher and Merkel are great examples. There is little feminine about them, and that is the only type of female that can truly lead. I am hesitant to even invest in a company with a female CEO because they are prone to make irrational business decisions led...
