Daniel, yeah, stone cold.
So is Daniel the reason for the ZA?!? Seems like LA was contained somewhat till he let out a stadium full of walkers.
Pretty good finale to an overall meh season. To me they still skipped around so much it was frustrating.

What is odd is his seeming willingness to take on such a large group. That will put a dent in supplies pretty quickly, but maybe he plans to put them to work. Especially if the military forced everybody into inland neighborhoods, there might be good access to supplies scavenging the coastline.
It's a brave, new world and not one overly suited to a lone survivor. By contrast though we have also seen that large groups have trouble surviving. This is much more a reality where small groups are optimal as long as there is at least one person present who has the ability to read people and situations somewhat accurately. Strand strikes me as someone who understands people extremely well.
The rest of the group looks to Travis for leadership for some reason. This could set up some great stories of conflict between he and Strand going forward (Strand seems like a good manipulator so he could easily become someone the fans love to hate).

He is the man of the house for 75% of the group. If Daniel's wife hadn't gotten injured I think they'd have parted ways already. He saw Travis was soft and didn't want him dragging him down.

His wife seemed more the man of the house until he lost his shite on the soldier

As one who struggled through the last 3 episodes, I thought this was good.
We finally get some interesting and somewhat unpredictable character development. The story really picked up and left us with a lot of open-endedness that could end up really interesting. The potential future interactions among the characters are intriguing as well, especially the interplay between Strand, Travis and Salazar.
I'll be all-in when Season 2 begins.
And I would believe that the red in the ocean was blood draining from the land...or walkers along the bottom. Not the source of the disease.

I don't think it was blood; likely algae or seaweed.

I thought a couple episodes kinda dragged a bit but overall did enjoy the finale and the season.

It was great until they decided to turn the ocean red with blood.

I found the finale underwhelming but it looks like I was in the minority.
When Travis' wife died, I felt nothing. I had no connection to the character. In many ways, I was glad it was over because she was an annoying character.
I would feel the same way if her son had been bitten. He is annoying and adds nothing to the show for me.

Thank goodness we get the real thing next week.
I loathe all these characters.

I'm over hating on the show. Good episode, not without faults but whatever. I choose to watch, I can suspend doubt and disbelief as long as it's manageable.

Delivered lots of action and plot development. Probably the only negative is FTWD looks like it's setting up as just another group of survivors as opposed to really delving into the chaos of the beginning of the ZA.

That's what I was afraid of. And don't get me wrong, I'll still give it a shot if that's what it becomes. But I was sure hoping we'd get to see shite hitting the fan and society losing its mind.
