Some folks already speculating on whether the algae in the ocean in the last scene could be a clue and significant. Remember, there are many show viewers out there (especially the hardcore ones on reddit) who are still pushing the theory that whatever causes the disease is a waterborne agent.

Just watched the finale. I really liked it. Finally some great zombie action. They seemed to learn how to kill pretty quick in the kitchen scene. Im guessing they have a smaller boat to get to the yacht cuz i sure didnt see one in sight along the coast. For some reason im having trouble remembering all the characters names....they just dont stick yet. But overall not a bad season 1. I give it a 6/10.

How terrible was the CGI for that Yacht?....it like "jumped" in its frame.

Damn near every movie I have seen him in, he's played a latino. Even hard core latino gang member. I was blown away to hear the accent and learn he was from New Zealand.

there was another movie he played a terrorist in too. So I think he takes ME, Indian and Mexican roles.

I think it's funny how many people on the message boards get all fired up trying to figure out what caused the ZA.

As for the finale, I thought it was great. The main thing that stuck out to me the most is in 6 episodes this group already knows what it took Rick 3 seasons to figure out. That it's PEOPLE that are truly the most dangerous in a zombie apocalypse. That also kind of gives TWD viewers a little insight to why Shane was like he was when Rick found them. He got it. Rick was forever changed by the Governor. Shane would've killed that dude at the negotiating table then shot his way out saving all the lives that were lost in the Woodbury battle. It's extremely intriguing to see where they go with this story next year.

I'd love it if they took this group and made them into a pretty awful, ruthless group. Kind of a Suicide Squad of the zombie apoc. I mean, they didn't give a shite about unleashing the entire zombie horde in an effort to rescue a couple of people. We've also seen how ruthless both death squad Danny, smooth soul brother and junkie johnny can be.

Using that herd to attack the military base was both boss and fricked up at the same time. That dude wasted no time becoming ruthless. Started with the torturing of the soldier.

Kind of funny how we view these people since they are the main characters of our story. When the Gov used "walker bombs" as weapons we saw him as the bad guy. Our heroes lead 2,000 plus walkers to the base in order to overrun it just to create a diversion, yet we see that as creative.

A lot of innocent people were killed because of them, and for what, a junkie kid. The doctor had to put down all her patients and then, I presume, she turned the air hammer on herself judging from her last scene.

Good finale. This is what the show should have been like from the beginning. No, I'm not talking about non-stop zombie action because I do appreciate the fleshing out of these characters. Thing is, I learned more about these characters last night than all the other episodes combined. Travis went from being a softie, making a mistake letting that soldier go, which almost cost Ophelia her life, to stone cold after beating the guy to near death with his bare hands and then having to put down his ex-wife. That's how you use the ZA to move characters and story lines.

The Governor was a crazy megalomaniac. The difference between good and bad isn't about what tools you use but when and why you use them.

Daniel is a former member of a South American "Death Squad". He resorted to torture and murder right out of the gate. Now, I'm not saying I don't like the guy, because I do, what I am saying is these things are all about perspective.

Also: Junkie Johnny better learn to walk like a living person, or he's going to get capped by someone thinking he's a zombie.

I've always liked that they made him very zombie-like to play around with the fact that he's practically "walking dead" due to his addiction. Then they made it overt last night when they had him say that he's been living in this world for a long time.

Still... at some point he's got to kick and withdraw or it's going to get old.

I would love if junkie got shot just because his drug addiction makes him zombie-like. You have to wonder why homie wanted to keep him around in the cage. Just for company?

Well Strand said it was because he was "a survivor" due to being a junkie so he was a handy guy to have around in a shite has hit the fan world. Now of course that could come back and bite Strand in the arse but he sees him as an asset.

That was my thought as well. In a pinch, he could toss him to zombies as a distraction. The whole, you don't have to outurn the bear. You just have to outrun the ohter guy" mentality.
