Holy shite why is the text so small. Skimmed it and saw nothing related to abuse. Just some dude sort of bitching about how things ended. Am I missing something significant?

Yeah...it's a wall of text even I could be proud of!
I was going to copy and paste some of it but it was unclickable as they have it up there. As for the importance, it's basically a guy who sounds genuinely hurt by what seems like a girlfriend who fricked him over with a guy he worked with but who was tired of her telling him that things might work out. Broke it off with her cleanly and said it would be the last time he'd talk to her. And just like he said, it shows her multiple attempts to try and talk with him afterwards.
But honestly, it might be the most even keeled break-up letter in the history of humanity. No cursing, no anger even though what he describes would have had me fricking pissed. Just what looks like genuine sorrow for being lied to and not ending it sooner it seems.
If anything, this makes him look like a pussy, not some abuser. I bet that making this public was about the very LAST thing he'd have ever wanted to do, but given how this thing has gone I can see why he felt it was the only resort.

I get the feeling you have some thoughts on this story...
I mean, you started this thread when the story broke and seemed to indicate you thought it was true based largely on the fact that you don't like him, as if that has any bearing on whether or not the system of "believe the woman" makes any sense at all.
Now after a denial by him and what looks like some evidence that he might not really be some monster, you still seem like you have something to say.

I had my say. I thought that the guy was a douche before any of this came up. If no other women come forward to corroborate her story or if she doesn’t produce her evidence then more power to him. But I really don’t give a shite about the guy.

This is the most reddit story ever.

To his credit on the text, it appears they had already broken up. It’s really no different than a letter or an email, cringy but it’s a ways of getting out what you need to say and being done.

Back to my last post...can someone explain why the font size is so small? The message can't possibly be legible on any phone, as it's barely big enough to read on a full size computer monitor. This just seems really odd to me. I don't even think it's possible to get the text that small on an IOS device (unless jailbroken?). The response from Chloe shows a much larger font size. It doesn't really make much sense. Why would he take a screenshot, then change the font size for her texts and then take those screenshots?

Were they screenshot from the same device? His text looks like it was taken from Messenger on his laptop, while her texts look like they were from a phone. Maybe it depends on the device you're reading it from....my eyesight sucks, but surprisingly I was still able to read his text, huge wall of text notwithstanding, lol...

I think his message is an email. That's a lot to type on a phone and I think most texts have a character limit. At least mine does.

I have a 5S so maybe it's legible with a slightly bigger screen size.

I meant Facebook Messenger. It's formatted similarly to the Messenger on my own laptop, including the time stamp.

My guess is she can’t release anything without serious concerns about being sued. I have watched enough dateline to know that you cannot record someone in Cali without the other parties approval.
Her story obviously was edited by lawyers to avoid any action. She gave out just enough that it is not anyone’s interest to go to court and still embarrass the shite out of him.
