They lost on a fluke play, why is everyone ignoring that?
The computers ignore it and still have Bama at #2.

Are they? All I know is that if this was another team in a different conference, people wouldn't just be glossing over the fact they lost to a 3-loss team.

Copernicus disagrees.

Eye test is more important than resume apparently. Hopefully voters keep that in mind with LSU later this year.

Ok but Michigan State has looked like shite all year. Almost lost to Purdue, a bad Oregon team, and I wanna say Air Force

They always get a mulligan, this year in particular the media has down played the loss to OLE MISS. Unlike Bama, LSU's loss to Bama unless they lose, which probably wont happen due to the schedule. Its ironic that LSUs schedule at the end of the season is a gauntlet. But at the same time LSU didn't take care of business in Tuscaloosa. The playoff is all about money Bama makes the most.

Hope we get a chance to test that theory, but the Big XII is so weak they may not get anybody in.

Because, the paradox is it is better to lose in conference to a shitty opponent than a good one. Thats why they currently control their own destiny in the west.

They're not getting a mulligan, they're getting credit for being one of the 4 best teams. Which they are.

They defenitely were on Saturday. Not so much against Tennessee, Ole Miss and Arkansas. I think Miss St. is going to give them a tough game if not win this Saturday.

that 3 loss team would currently be Baylor's best opponent of the year, OU's best opponent, Okie State's 2nd best opponent, OSUn's best opponent (tied with Penn State).

This is a perfectly valid argument, but it has absolutely nothing to do with the CFPC's stated criteria for the Top 25. Alabama could lose Saturday and I'd still have a hard time taking anyone else on a neutral field, but it doesn't mean they're still a deserving team.

5-7. They'll move up, but that's where they belong this week.

It doesn't need to be excused to come to the conclusion that Alabama is a top 4 team. I'd put ND or Stanford over Bama before any of the undefeated teams (sans Ok St maybe; jury's still out on TCU but I don't think they were ever that good in the first place) because they've played shite schedules.

Do you realize what you just said? You would rather have the 4 "most deserving teams" than the "4 best teams" in a playoff? That's the dumbest shite I've ever heard. Just plain fricking dumb!

The computers have Bama at #2. You're imagining things because you hate Bama. I empathize because I hate them, too, but like it or not, Bama has earned their place in the top 4 so far.

Bama just skull-drug the number 2 team in the country after already being predicted to be in a playoff - what does everyone expect? Them to fall in the rankings?
