re: Do you think Derrick Henry regrets going to Bama now that LF was drafted 4th overall? - imraged
He and his family believed that if LF would have gotten hurt like he did that saban would have sent his arse in that tent on the sideline and shot him up with a needle that would make a veterinarian blush.
Wasn't Fournette supposedly playing on a bad ankle all year :dunno:? [quo...

re: Do you think Derrick Henry regrets going to Bama now that LF was drafted 4th overall? - imraged
Fournette could've gone to Stillman College and would've still been a top 10 pick. NFL teams don't care that much about college production. They're looking for athleticism, skillsets and traits that project well for the next 10 years. Fournette and Henry are actually pretty similar in this reg...

re: List of Bama players in 2017 Draft? - imraged
Watt was drafted on name alone, not production. He should have been a 2nd-3rd rounder at best.
 He had 11.5 sacks in his first year at the position. Not only that, he is an elite athlete at the position where athleticism correlates most strongly with NFL success. He do...

re: At what point will you say Lebron is better than Jordan was? - imraged
'79 Celtics were 29-53 with a -4.78 SRS. '03 Cavs were 17-65 with a -9.78 SRS. The Cavs were worse by a wide margin. Not to mention Bird was basically at the start of his prime at 23 compared to a 19 year old kid in LeBron. In addition the Cavs completely botched the team-building process. They l...

re: How much do you think Hurts has improved? - imraged
Freshmen have been playing QB at major colleges for three decades now fellas.
Yeah and they generally show a lot of the same things. Slow reads, lack of pocket presence and general inconsistency. They also almost always suck against actual good defenses. Hurts had three bad games a...

re: Remember when the narrative was "LeBron isn't clutch"? - imraged
LeBron saved his own legacy by scoring 16 points in that 4th quarter to get them back in the game including a three to pull within range with 20 seconds left. Followed that up with 37 in game 7. No need to go into what he did last season. Only the most blind of haters and trolls can possibly doub...

re: Is there anything more overrated than combine scores? - imraged
The problem is in how people use them. The one position where they're a solid predictor of NFL success is edge rusher. Otherwise it should be used as a baseline; players with below average NFL athleticism don't generally turn out to be great players outside of olinemen and qbs....

re: Should We Put An Asterisk By LeBron's 7 Straight Finals Appearances? - imraged
when they did try to penetrate, they morphed into a hybrid man/zone D with fast rotations closing out on shooters.
The idea behind the hybrid man/zone D is that you're committing an extra defender to one player. Thus LeBron being "effectively double or triple teamed." The combinat...

re: Should We Put An Asterisk By LeBron's 7 Straight Finals Appearances? - imraged
I went back and rewatched some of that series and definitely came away with the impression that LeBron's poor play in that series tends to be exaggerated. His off ball game was still lacking at the time and that's largely on him but the Heat's offensive system didn't exactly do him any favors. It wa...

re: Bama fans, Did you have an idea Rueben Foster was the head case he appears to be - imraged
I don't think he's a headcase, he's just not really the sharpest knife in the drawer. Which has been fairly common knowledge for a while now. I've heard/seen quite a few people call him a lovable idiot over the past few years....

re: The 7 most disappointing NBA players this season - imraged
I don't know what kind of insane expectations it'd take to think Porzingis was a disappointment this season. He improved in basically every category from last year. I can agree with Drummond being on that list. He's really stagnated since his role on the team expanded a couple of years ago. He's ...

re: Tua showing out in scrimmage! - imraged
"Over 50%" could mean anything. What was the play-calling like? What sort of down and distance or field position situations were they in? How much of that was against the 1st team D? How many throws were dropped or thrown away? Without knowing any of that there's not really much that can be read ...

re: Who are you picking 1st in the draft: Shaq or Lebron? - imraged
This gif is a perfect example of why the rule set is such an important factor. No modern defense that's worth a shite is going to let Shaq get two feet in the paint before help comes. Being able to essentially play zone makes it so much easier for defenses to rotate to shooters. Shaq was such a domin...
Saban has never made such an effort to stress any specific player is going to be the starter, no competition required.
