Michigan State lost on an illegal play. Are they getting a mulligan? They're probably still fricked even if they beat Ohio State.

Yeah I doubt that.

what mulligan? They lost early and have looked dominant ever since. Should they be ranked 15th just because of that loss?

So everyone should forget about their loss to a 7-3 team then b/c they are playing well now?

If Arky only lost to Toledo but were undefeated the rest of the way, wouldn't that be a similar circumstance?

Because they are a football factory who make the NCAA money.

If everything goes as expected and Michigan State runs the table, do you think they'd get in over unbeaten Clemson, unbeaten Baylor, Alabama and Notre Dame?

I didn't realize there were actual real people that didn't believe in Bama's claim as a top 4 team after this past weekend.

God how I have missed this.

Ohio State play by a different set of rules

OSU hasn't gotten a mulligan and last year they beat a top 15 team by 60 points to get in and they were in competition with other 1 loss teams

I think there needs to be a clear distinction and definition in the committee's job description. Are they deciding the 4 best teams in the country or the 4 most deserving teams? I think it should be the later to try to remove as much subjectivity as possible.

If it was the later, Bama does not deserve to be in. If you ask me if they're one of the 4 best teams, I'd probably agree with you. I don't think they've played a single really good team this season, though. The SEC is as down as they've ever been. Everyone in that conference sucks outside of Bama.

I'm not sure which of the likely playoff teams will be the most "tested" by season's end. Probably the Big 12's team. Bama's road this year has been pretty easy, not the normal brutal SEC haul IMO.

Are they? All I know is that if this was another team in a different conference, people wouldn't just be glossing over the fact they lost to a 3-loss team.
Alabama has lost 1 or less games in the regular season 6 out of the past 7 years. Any other teams do that? Alabama isn't just another team in another conference. I'm sure it sucks, but people need to deal with it.

The SEC is weak, what do you want me to tell you?

Anyway, the committee claims they are not looking at prior years. However, OSU has not done more than Oklahoma St. for example. I will be interested to see their jump this week

I agree. Is it the best four teams right now, or the four teams that have had the best season. I'm not doubting that Bama is the one of the four best teams now, but everybody is forgetting that they have a loss to an OK team at home.

LSU has a 2 loss title. AU lost early in 2013 and still played for the title. UF lost to a bad Ole Miss team in 08. It is not exclusive to Bama, but the SEC has a stigma as the best conference, and being the best team in that conference carries weight, like it or not.

But in those years none of those teams leapfrogged a team with less losses from a P5 conference. Bama should be the highest ranked 1 loss team.

My point, the highest ranked SEC team will always be favored in situations like this.

Hit a drive out of bounds and then hit the next one straight down the middle. Only problem, is that in real golf the first shot counts and you get penalized for it.

But even with a horrible shot you can still win the Masters with an amazing shot.

Ever seen this?

Why wouldn't they? Check out the Massey Composite. By and large, the computers have them at #2.
