We've covered that. Originally it was in the OP but the distinction was hijacking the thread. 12 hours typically makes you an alum

I think your number is low but I'm not denying your point.

LSU wouldnt exist if it weren't for alumni. It is great you like going to football games and getting drunk on saturdays but you seem to forget why the school exists in the first place. A lot can be said in having pride in the SCHOOL and not the foozball team

Did the Penningtons graduate from LSU because the 125 million they left the university was huge and I believe largest donation ever. I know Claude was granted an honorary Doctor of Sciences degree.

Yeahhhh neither does GT.

I guess this whole discussion comes down to being a fan of the football team vs being a fan of the school.

I went to Tulane and I enjoy seeing them getting beatdown.

That's both uninteresting and sad.

Although when I was a kid I remember liking Tulane during their undefeated season, though that was pretty much all due to Shaun King.

I believe he is, he loves Louisiana and New Orleans. He seems to sport a lot of LSU gear, I know I saw him eating at Cafe Du Monde once wearing an LSU cap and others they've seen him in various LSU shirts.

Plus he did play an LSU offensive line man in the movies or was he just a fan? I can't remember his part in it with Dennis Quaid

He was a lineman and Quaid's best friend.

No, he's a drugs addicted, alcoholic wreck but he lived in NOLA and is famous so people like him for some reason. I watched him hit a vehicle carrying kids, drunk and high on something. Didnt say shite to the people he hit. Shot the shite with the police. Ronnie Lamarque picked him up and nothing happened

Dude is a POS but louisiana is proud for some reason

Valid point, but we are talking about being a "fan".

I'm a fan of the Athletic department, that includes, football, baseball, basketball, etc.

While I do support and respect what goes on in the buildings, I'm not a "fan" of Mr. John Doe's Physics class, sorry! I can't get pumped on Monday morning for Mr. John Doe's lecture on human resources.

More power to those who are current students and alumni, but unless you run a 4.4 40 or can lift 225lbs, side walkers don't really feel the need to care. But we do support the university and share in your school spirit.
