Me too. Who does he compare to in the NBA? I don't think he's all that good...

I don't understand why anyone would leave without a degree unless they were going to be a 1st rounder or lottery pick. The only reason that I can understand is that their families might need money, but how much help is a NBA D-League salary going to provide?

Oh, most of them absolutely aren't

It's just funny that these guys are big shots on campus and think they will be making millions, but if they don't get a guaranteed deal, they will likely make 35K next year, if they stay in the U.S.

That's probably below what a typical UK or UW grad makes after graduation.

As for a previous poster's point about guaranteed 2nd round contracts, I wonder how many guys get those. 16 of the 30 2nd round picks have played at least a second in the NBA, but that certainly doesn't mean all of those guys have guaranteed contracts. I still think it's the exception to the rule since I can remember guys like Kyle Singler and KJ McDaniel who were given (relatively) good deals up front. I'd guess about half of those 2nd rounders who have played in the NBA this year got those kinds of deals, so we're talking about 30 guaranteed 1st rounders, plus 7-8 2nd rounders. And probably 3-4 of the first rounders are Euro stash players.

LOL, what? Wojo made that claim last year. I am betting Andrew and Johnson comes back...I see Aaron has moved up in the mocks as a 1st rounder.

I can't believe Tokoto is declaring for the draft. LOL. Him and Roy must have been butting heads.

May be addition by subtraction for UNC, and may mean they get Ingram now.

“I feel like there can be a lot more to me as a player, more than just the defensive player who can occasionally dunk the ball,” Tokoto told Yahoo Sports. “I know I can be so much more, but I’m not sure that I’m pushed to be that much more [in college].

I can understand, he probably feels stuck in a rut as a role player and needs a change. He knows staying or another year wont help him at all.

Yea, I think so as well....

The one UK guy I don't get is Dakari Johnson. The rest make sense, but I think Booker and Lyles would be better off coming back.

Oh shite, just found Jeff Goodman's transfer list for this year

LINK

Its updated 4 days ago though. I like how he ranks the major transfers though. Lotta scrubs out there.

Yea, the exodus some of these teams have is crazy.

College basketball is fricking awesome. I mean, I kinda hate all the transferring when these kids are allegedly students, but between this, the early entrees, and the coaching carousel, the offseason is fairly interesting. It really allows for a team to go from awesome to shite or vice versa.

shite Kentucky is likely losing 7 players and they should still be a top 5 team

Did I really see earlier that they have gotten rid of the hardship waivers for transfers?

It's going to be interesting to see how he fills those voids. I know he picked up that kid from Cleveland State.

I think UVA and MD are the two best squads next year. Wichita State might actually be top 5. UNC is top 8-10 just based on the general level of attrition in CBB, while they keep basically everyone. I think Miami might be as well.

It will be a strange year.

UNC returns every single player on the team.

UNC just had one of their biggest WTF early entries ever, with JP Tokoto declaring.

Still looks like a top 10-12 team, even with that absence. Miami is also losing two promising youngsters who averaged 8 points per game each to transfer. I don't get it. The grass is rarely greener on the other side.

Tokoto isn't magically going to develop a jump shot after 21 years. He called out Roy Williams, too.

I don't get it. A lot of these guys are basically declaring for the D League, and they'll make less than Accounting and Finance majors with 3.5 gpas if they don't go abroad.

Are people not aware that the 2016 class is miserable, and they're likely to be picked in the 1st round and be guaranteed at least 3 million over 2 years?

So far, I believe Trimble, Damien James, and Justin Jackson are the only guys to verify they will stay in school.

Michael Frazier, Jarrell Martin, Jordan Mickey, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Chris McCulloch, Devantes Smith-Rivera, Rashad Vaughn, Brandon Ashley (likely), and now Woj says that in addition to Booker, Lyles, KAT, and WCS (all making smart choices), UK will be losing Dakari and the Harrison twins.

Makes no sense why someone would declare without a first round guarantee, and none of these guys are going to get a 1st round guarantee.

You can keep saying this it won't make it true
