Now that college football and the Saints are done, I desperately need baseball to start back up

Spring Training would feel so much closer if it wasn't 12 degrees outside

Why didn't we re-sign Diaz?

I doubt Chipper will play more than 100 games, and him and Hinske could've made a serviceable tandem in left with Prado at third.

Diaz is the man! I'll miss him a lot.

Yeah Diaz was one of my favorites

Diaz and Hinske are a perfect match for each other though and I sure as hell don't wanna see Hinske in there against lefties this year

But I think we want a more defensive minded outfielder so I'd expect a signing here in the next few weeks but noone big. I wish we would've bit the bullet with Nate and gone after Ellsbury or someone like that.

Very nice

I'm debating getting the MLB package for DirectTV instead of mlb.tv this year

Good to know

It would be nice if the mlb.tv package was included if you bought the DirectTV package for whenever I'm not able to be in front of a TV

if you have to choose, always go wth mlb.tv because of the phone app. Being able to watch games on my phone when I couldnt get to my laptop was CLUTCH

Prado and Jurrjens both avoided arbitration

Prado will make 3.1M and Jurrjens will make 3.25M..good for both of them

Only players left without a contract are Moylan and O'Flaherty.

Prado will be playing 2B for someone else next season.

I'm assuming you mean 2012? He'd be a good chip to pair up with JJ.

I could see a mini rebuilding year in 2012. If they were to trade Prado, our positions of need would be CF, LF, 3B, and SS correct?

Looking at the 2012 FA list, CF has the best list with several solid options availabe. The other three positions of need seem pretty weak. I doubt Matt Lipka or Salcedo would be ready to play a prominent role in 2013, hell they haven't even had time to prove whether or not they will ever make it. We've definitely got some holes to fill.
