re: Wander Franco, Tampa Bay Rays SS and…the number 14
Posted by glb on 8/14/23 at 11:54 am
This article says he has a wife and two kids.
The Tampa Bay Times reported in April 2022 that Franco had got married and his wife was expecting their second child - their second son. He apparently has a tattoo of their first son on his left arm. ...
It’s going to hit 100 degrees here in Lafayette tomorrow and the next several days. I don’t remember the last time I’ve seen it hit 100 here, yet I still don’t believe in anthropogenic global warming.

That is not how weather works. We live in the Northern Hemisphere where summer time winds are predominantly out of the north. This is even more so the case in the plains states.

This has me now looking at the Pixel 7 - just like that.
The newer pixel phones are awesome. Great camera and software. Love the functionality with google photos, Google TV's etc. I used Google Fi as my carrier for years until I needed unlimited data and it just wasn't worth it.

It's not the Android destroying the image quality. It's Apple and it's proprietary bullshite. Android to Android using RCS will preserve the original image quality.
What exactly is RCS?
RCS stands for ...
If android or someone else ever makes a communication app like iMessage I would switch back.
You've got it backwards. Apple iMessage is an outdated pile of Apple bullshite that it maintains to make iPhone users think it would suck to not have it. They refuse to upgrade to RCS messag...

re: Lake is overperforming in Pima County, the last Dem stronghold to be counted.
Posted by glb on 11/13/22 at 7:18 pm
How is that over performing? It's pretty much right in line with the % she's gotten in Pima up to this point.
If there's not some huge red drop like people keep calling for, I'm pretty sure Pima and Maricopa are going to be at a higher % for Dem than in 2020 and 2018....

They did big drops. Was watching pretty close and Fulton did a 65% dump early on. And DeKalb was sitting at like 10% then did a dump that took them up to the 60% range....
So weird that there’s only blue bumps.
Are there any counties that are 10% of the population and vote 75%+ red? I know there aren't in GA. Fulton and Dekalb both fit this criteria in GA, but are blue. Unfortunately, Gwinnett is getting really close too....

It was probably DeKalb. It's the 4th largest county and votes about 85% blue....
