Rodman would get into greens head so bad he wouldn't know. What to do. You gonna put klay on pippen???? Who guards Jordan??? The more I think about it the more I think the Bulls would take this in 5 with the 90's rules. People talk about how amazing curry is but he is not on the same level as Jordan or even pippen.

We now know the answer. Since Peej has spoken the above, it's confirmed that GSW would win the series handily.

This trumps any other argument for sure. His record speaks for itself.

I'm a big GS fan, and generally side with the modern era in basketball, but I'll concede that the Bulls would represent a difficult defensive match up for the Warriors. That's not to say they're getting swept, but I think they deserve to be the favorite.

I will say that it's possible to hold the 2016 Warriors accomplishments in higher regard even if you think the Bulls were the better team. I liken it to the 2011 LSU team - if they win the NC, they would have finished the most impressive season of all time, even if no one would confuse then as the best team of all time.

Doubtful, but I'm glad you brought them up. That teams playoff run is one of the best ever. Shaq would average 40 plus against this Warriors team.

The bigger issue I see is how would GS be able to stop the Bulls offense?
How do current teams defend the triangle offense that the Bulls used then? They must have figured out some method since the triangle offense isn't being used any more. The Bulls offense was not unstoppable in the 90's, and it wouldn't be unstoppable against today's players who play a more team oriented defense than was allowed in the 90's.

I love watching this Dubs team, but the amount of jackassery associated with the Warrior's fanboys makes we want to see them win 73 games and lose in the WCF to Pop. Would be an epic melt.

Holy shite PeeJ I'm saying worst case scenario it's a close series ... and it's obvious that Iggy would guard Jordan.

He's likely wrong, and needs to also remember, he has no titles without Jordan being on his team.

Kerr's response

quote:

Of the ongoing comparisons between the two eras, Kerr added: "The game is so different; it really is. I know I keep going back to that.

"Because the game is different and it's officiating differently, it's hard to compare the eras, to compare 20 years ago to now.

"For example, if you actually put the teams in a hypothetical game, my guess is the Bulls would be called for a million hand-check fouls and we would be called for a million illegal defences when we overloaded the strong side.

"So the game would take like six hours because the refs would be calling stuff all game. So it's kind of hard to get past that."

Same. I'm not a GSW but if they're on TV I'm watching. Now I want to see them lose.

We can't ever enjoy anything cool that goes on in sports because a vocal bunch of Johnny-come-latelys always latch on the latest craze and take things go too far.

Unfortunately for me, I'm probably as old as you, or close. My point was that Pippen should keep his mouth shut on topics like this. Only Jordan should make such assessments, because without him, the Bull don't win those titles.

Same if a GS player other than Curry makes those comments.

I think it is silly to call a sweep, but Bulls likely would win, but it would entirely depend on the rules they play by for sure.

If it is rules in the 90's? I'd say Bulls in 5-6. If it is current Rules, it's a toss up.

I love Steph Curry, but he is still mostly a one sided player. He's a dynamic offensive player, and an average defensive player. Jordan (and I hate him) is a dominant offensive and defensive player. Pippen has that same ability as well.

The thing that would keep the Warriors in it is their 3 point shooting, but the physicality of the Bulls (if allowed) would wear Curry and Thompson down. Hell, Thompson got warn down against the Cavs last year in the finals, so it is a reasonable assumption.

In the end though, it would be a fun series to watch.

I can respect this....But to be fair Jordan doesn't win 6 without Pippen....
