Bama: 3 top 15 wins, 1 loss to a one-loss team

Georgia: 2 top 15 wins, 1 loss to a one-loss team

Oregon: 1 top 15 win, 1 loss to a one-loss team.

Washington: 1 top 15 win, 1 loss to a one-loss team.

Texas: 1 top 15 win, 1 loss to a two-loss team

(“top 15 win” = win over any opponent currently ranked in top 15 in either the CFP rankings, AP poll, or coaches poll)

So Texas is tied for the least amount of top 15 wins and has the worst lost, but they MUST get in? And they MUST get in because their loss to a two-loss team shouldn’t hurt as much as Bama’s loss to a one-loss team? Bama’s loss outweighs both Texas’ worst loss and the fact Bama has more top 15 wins? LOL

First tie breaker is H2H. Bottom line. A two-score road win trumps any other variable. It's not like UT beat UA at home with a fluky play.

Texas should be in.

I do not understand why they are not

You say head to head is cherry picking and proceed to cherry pick arbitrary points like top 15

The resumes aren’t equal. Bama’s is clearly stronger. There is no “tie.”

At the end of the season, there’s a clear difference in strength between a team that’s in the top 15 vs a team that’s sitting at 24/25.

Feel free to post the wins vs top 25 though, it doesn’t change the outcome of the analysis.

In your scenario, these 2 would not be conference champions. As long as there are only 4 teams, you should reward 1st record, conference title, head-to-head and then strength of schedule when you are comparing P5 teams.

I know everyone keeps saying this, but if they could only play and figure out who would win the head to head.

We’ll even give Bama an advantage and play it in Tuscaloosa.

Why do you limit this rule to P5 teams? Why are we leaving 11-1 James Madison out of this conversation?

No, they are not clearly better to anyone but SECtards like you, slightly better sure and with both at 12-1 head to head wins

You couldn't just bump your old thread or were you having attention withdrawals?

BTW, I made this same argument earlier in the year when I supported Texas being ranked ahead of OU after OU beat them - LINK

I don't know how many times this needs to be said before it clicks, but here it is again:

SOS:
Texas - 13
Bama - 31

That'd be cool if we were talking about last year's playoff.

SOS and other similar metrics have to be taken with a grain of salt. If you honestly believe a 12-1 Big 12 Champion had a more impressive run than a 12-1 SEC Champion then you are legit retarded and should never speak again in these threads.
