Without citing a metric you can’t even begin to explain how it’s calculated, how did you make this decision?

I thought this thread was about Oregon, Texas, and Alabama.

Oh, I can explain it. I don't know why you'd make that assumption.

Don't lash out at me because I've made your subjective data as irrelevant as my subjective data.

Regardless, the decision was easy and it was made September 9th.

I’m firing you from the MSB CFP committee for poor work product.

I think you'd be emphatically overruled if you tried it.

My supporting evidence is this thread.

The gap between the SEC and the Big 12 is about equal to the gap between the Big 12 and the American. It’s an uncomfortable truth but the truth nonetheless

Who did Bama lose to and where was that game played? What was the margin of defeat?

Texas: beat the frick out of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

Fify...

So forgot all that other nonsense, it doesn't matter.

Looking at the resumes and not applying head to head tiebreaker rules, how would you rank Texas, Oregon, and Bama’s resumes if they all win this weekend?

This is part of your problem, you see every thing in these absolutes, in hierarchical rankings as if what “ranks” higher in 1 metric is definitive. The resumes are close

Right

And all debates about resumes are an attempt to figure out who is “better” or in other words, who would win on a neutral field

But in this case, we already know the answer to that

Same energy. 13 games in a season bossman

First tie breaker is H2H. Bottom line. A two-score road win trumps any other variable. It's not like UT beat UA at home with a fluky play.

True. Bama got blown out!

It's a real shame we couldn't figure that out on the field.

Based on what? Show some data not just past bowl games. Also note with conference rankings not everyone plays each other. So you have to look at each team overall schedule. Bama’s may “better” but not so much so that head to head should be thrown out. SOS formulas and computer rankings in some cases favor Texas in others Bama, so close

True.

SOS:
Texas - 13
Bama - 31

Yeah

Texas and Alabama should be in the top 4 if Texas, Alabama, and Oregon win.
