My list:

Tier 1 (in no order)

UNC
UCLA
Duke
Indiana
Kansas
Kentucky

Tier 2
Arizona
Syracuse
Louisville
Georgetown
Michigan State
Villanova
UCONN

eta: I am most doubtful about Michigan State belonging on this list.

eta: added UCONN to Tier 2

No UCONN on either list at all? Should be tier 1

Yes, I left them off.

I actually had them in another thread discussing this. They are Tier 2 imo.

Good list but I'm not sure Nova or Georgetown belong.

UCONN isn't technically a blue blood. They're new money

UCONN has 4 national titles since the 1990's.

They've became a blue blood

Ohio State has more historical pedigree than Georgetown and Villanova.

Yep, if UConn stays in the AAC their glory days are done. I know it's for football reasons, but if I were at UConn I'd try to join the Big East and go Indy in football if necessary. UConn football will never be a major power, but in basketball they can.

Good list. I can't think of anybody else that's not new money like Florida.

Tier 2...

What about Illinois?

#13 in winning %

9 Elite 8's

11 Sweet 16's

5 Final 4's

1x Runner-up

I think Illinois' lack of recent success might keep them out.

No need to question Michigan State if you have Arizona on the list.

2 titles, a slew of Final Fours, consistently a great team.

Arkansas has done nothing in my lifetime and to the OP, Indiana isn't Tier 1 anymore. This isn't the 80s anymore
