I agree this is the adults fault for putting him in this situation, but come on it's high school. This kid is going to be ostracized by his peers for this.

Yes, he absolutely will. I just hope he isn't harmed. He will suffer enough socially because of this.

Absolute truth. They are/were going to win 5A this year. They are huge and physical. They are not one of these spread the field, score as fast as you can kind of offenses with artificial numbers. They are dominant. I've seen them 2 or 3 times this year.

I feel for Donovan (even though he should have stayed on the westbank like he did in Middle school). Kid is a real talent and a very nice kid. The coaches need to be punished, hopefully they make the decisions at the central office and not Wildcat lane.

FWIW, I knew Destrehan's Principal many years ago as he was an assistant on my high school baseball team in 1988 and head coach of our legion team that year at Hahnville when he was first getting started. I also had him for, you guessed it, American History my junior year. As far as I'm concerned, there's not a CHANCE he'd have condoned or supported any of that shite if it happened. At the time, he was literally the only coach at Hahnville who gave a shite, and actually did teach his class like a teacher and not a coach.
Other than that, I have no dog in this fight...

How would this be punishment? Sure it would be a little harder to win a title, but they'd more than likely still win. They're the best team in the state and it's a shame they the coaches made a bad decision that may jeopardize the teams opportunity to do something special.

St. Aug or HC would win 5A this year outside of Destrehan. Byrd, Rummel and Catholic at full strength would make deep runs too, among others.
