LHSAA confirms investigation into Destrehan football upated w/penalties

"The Lafourche Parish School Board administration and the administration at South Lafourche High School are awaiting a decision from the LHSAA and they are seeking forfeiture of the contest."
South Lafourche brought the claim to the LHSAA’s attention Monday, and LHSAA Executive Director Kenny Henderson said a ruling could come as early as Wednesday.

The LHSAA announced Wednesday afternoon it has suspended five Destrehan assistant coaches, including Ryan Fournier for the reminder of the season, for how it used the video swapping program, Hudl, in preparation for its District 7-5A game against South Lafourche last week, and Destrehan will forfeit its 49-24 victory against South Lafourche.
The other four coaches, defensive coordinator Lance Ledet, Daniel Luquet, Wayne Sentilles and offensive coordinator Greg Boyne, are suspended the rest of the regular season and can coach only from the press box once the playoffs begin.
Destrehan coaches have to attend classes and the school also has to be pay an undisclosed fine. The LHSAA released its ruling to the respective schools a little after 2 p.m.

This to win a High School football?
Adults 'allegedly' cheating & creating little Football factories(Curtis,Evangel,etc......) really take away from the fun that's supposed to be HS football.

Ban them from playoffs, then during first round re-insert them in the playoffs and kick out the last seeded team. Seems like an LHSAA thing to do

The LHSAA investigator was more than satisfied with his talk with coach robicheaux on Monday and told SLHS there was no evidence of wrongdoing so the investigation was over. The extent of his investigation was to ask the coach if they did it. If SLHS had not persisted nothing would have been done. I'm very interested to see what penalty will be handed down.

If Zachary was SL they would be banned and If teurlings was destrahan they would be allowed in the playoffs.

Yeah after suing. Neither team should have been in. But the LHSAA did themselves in by letting TC back in. I can't imagine being the team ZHS bumped after the bracket was set. LHSAA governs about as good as the federal government or the CATS board.

The offending coaches need to take a year away from the sideline. This, if true, is overt cheating.
