Ironically, Dion Jordan blanketed Gronkowski the times he was asked to play him in pass coverage.

Ansah and Short are vastly better

I'm almost positive that out of all the defensive players drafted in 2013, Mathieu has the highest PFF rating

2013 Draft was horrible, although surprised no one has mentioned Star Lotulelei as a top 5 pick in the re-draft.

Wr has more value than S

Nuk is a top 4 wr that makes him more valuable than TM.

TM is a stud but I'd imagine 28/32 teams would take Nuk over him.

Last time I checked, defense wins championships. Anyone who sees a WR being more valuable than a safety is absolutely insane. Give me Ed Reed and Troy Polamalu over Terrel Owens and Randy Moss......2 of them have a ring, two of them don't. You can build a defense around a safety, you can't build an offense around a WR

Naming two great safeties who won championships and two great WRs who didn't won't suddenly make safety more valuable than WR

That's stupid evidence for your point. How many super bowls did Jerry Rice win? John Stallworth won more SB's than those safeties combined.

And Ronnie Lott has more rings than Rice

Why don't you go back the last five first rounds and count the number of WRs drafted and number of S drafted. Which one do you think will have a higher number?

Good thing you aren't a GM, your franchise would be bottom of the barrel.

A little biased, but seems like ATL got a steal that late in a bad draft class with Trufant.

Yea because there are so many household name wide receivers in the past 5 super bowls. Also that isn't a good argument at all. Wide receiver is more talent rich than safety.

This is silly. You really think in today's NFL safetys hold more value to a team than wide receivers?

Just look at the top 5 highest paid for each position group

Absolutely. Shitty line and shitty QB=shitty WR production. A QB and the line could be great and you can turn an okay wide receiver into an awesome wide receiver. A talented safety does not lose the ability to produce on the field even if the defensive line is playing like crud. 9/10 you can't hide a safeties inability to cover and tackle either.

The safety position is way more important than the WR position, it has the potential to be QB of the defense if not the linebacker.

That's great bro. The money these guys are paid say I'm right and your wrong. Sorry but the NFL values WRs a lot more than S.

When your DL can't get pressure on the QB that's exactly what it does to both S and CB
