When your DL can't get pressure on the QB that's exactly what it does to both S and CB

The safety still has the opportunity to make a play. The WR literally has no chance at all to make any plays with a shite QB and shite line because he can't get the ball thrown to him.

2013 Draft was horrible, although surprised no one has mentioned Star Lotulelei as a top 5 pick in the re-draft.
He wouldn't have fallen to Carolina had the heart abnormality not been discovered pre-draft, which ended up being caused by a viral infection more than likely. I agree that he would definitely go a lot higher.

Man, 2013's 1st round was awful.

How did Hopkins finish third in the NFL in receiving yards with 4 different starting QBs and average line play? And have 1200 yards the year before with three different starting QBs?

That's great bro. The money these guys are paid say I'm right and your wrong. Sorry but the NFL values WRs a lot more than S.

Because AJ Green, Alshon Jefferey, and Julio Jones are bringing championships to their team.

I specifically said shite line, not average line. There are multiple reasons for his production and I'm not going to go through them with you, but once again no team is riding the back of Hopkins to a championship.

Good thing you aren't a GM, your franchise would be bottom of the barrel.

ATL is bottom of the barrel. Thanks for proving my point.

Yet they finished 8-8, while New Orleans finished 7-9...

we are talking about value. Wide Receivers get paid more than Safeties. Done. End of side topic. You are wrong. Everyone else debating with you is right. Thanks for coming out.

You're the poster who said you would take Willie Snead over Hopkins. I remember you.

Except 3/4 of the last Super Bowl champions paid their safeties more than they paid their wide receivers. Before that the Giants didn't win because of a star wide receiver, they won because of the defense, before that the Saints rode the back of Brees and an awesome Darren Sharper, pre-jimmy graham who eventually got traded.

You won't admit which Saints WR you would take over Hopkins

That doesn't change a single thing about about the NFL valuing WRs more than S. Are you just trolling at this point?

The franchises that value the safety over the WR have had more recent success, I don't feel like going back any further.

No, but close to it right now, better than ATL. I don't mind that they paid Byrd a lot of money, if it would've panned out the defense wouldn't be so shitty and they would actually be playoff contenders. They also still won a super bowl without paying their receivers ridiculous salaries.
