So getting the SW Companion pass has been a royal pain in the arse.
Submitted applications for the SW Premier and business cards. Got immediately approved for the business card and got them in the mail a week later.
I called the status # to check the status of the application of the personal card and it turns out, they never received my personal application. I had to resubmit the application.
Didn't hear anything back so when I called the status # again, I got transferred to an agent. They said they couldn't process the application because I already have 60k in credit with Chase (Sapphire, Marriott, SW Bus).
So what I ended up doing is I got my credit line with my Marriott card dropped down to 2k and then they approved my SW Premier card.
shite show all around but I am approved and will be on my way to the companion pass here in a few weeks.

This is why it is prudent to reduce credit lines ahead of time. Now that you know your limit with Chase keep that in mind in the future. It's all part of the learning curve.

I consistently call in and keep my CL on my non-everyday cards at $1K. Chase keeps bumping them up periodically and I keep calling in to reduce. Except Ink, never did I not get instant approval with Chase apps. So it definitely works. Have a total of 8 cards with them now.

Thinking of opening the SW business card now but also thinking about refinancing.
Pretty young so my credit history isn't long enough for recent credit inquiries to have minimal impact considering I've been churning since the mortgage

Definitely do not get any hard inquiries. Not worth it.

I just got the Chase Hyatt card. It's not even showcased on The Points Guy or Nerd Wallet but the rewards can be extremely valuable.

New hard inquiries you mean? You have to pull for refinance

Yup, live and learn - I had never really paid attention to it.
Now that I looked them over, it seems that they have been getting bumped up without my knowledge (I'm sure I got emails about it)
Hey, at least I got approved.

Today I received my companion pass
23 months of it.

You're applying for AS cards every 90 days? Personal and biz?
I have not done it yet, but Afro has done it I believe and has had 4 cards at one (2 biz and 2 personal). I am thinking about doing it soon since it's no minimum spend unless you do the $100 statement credit then you have to spend $1,000 in 90 days.
Right now I'm going back and forth over getting the SPG biz with $5k spend or the AA Plat with $3k spend. I did call my Citi AA Plat today and got the AF waived and she threw in 20,000 miles I guess I should have been getting 10,000 miles a year on my anniversary and was not getting it. She's filing a dispute to get my other years as well.

My uncle just added me as an authorized user on his AAdvantage Executive card and I now get Admirals Club access across the country. Pretty pumped about this deal as I haven't upgraded from the platinum due to the $400 fee and I travel quite frequently.

I'd look into Citi prestige

Most of you might have heard - Chase 5/24 rule about to be extended to co-branded cards starting April.
This one hurts.

Yah, looks like 5/24 rule for chase business cards will start in March and the co-branded in April.

Yup, looks like I need to go for broke on Ink for my wife this month, and then go for my second United in late March as my 24 month timer on the bonus should go off at about the same time.
ETA: My bonus deposited in my UA account on 3/10/14 so I guess I'll have 20 days there to get my application in.

Yeah. Chase sucks now. They denied my wife last week for too many cards opened in the past 12 months. She only has two Chase cards so they are looking outside of the Chase family at number of cards opened.

Yup. This is changing the game.
This is actually going to cause me to hold out on applying for new cards for my wife for 2016. She only got 3 in 2015, so she should be good to go for 2017. I've gotten spoiled with companion pass. I'll be passing up some points for her, but 110k SW points that equates to 220k SW points for 2 cards is tough to beat.
I guess I'm snagging the Ink and United cards while I can.
