why would Les want to leave what is going to be a total juggernaut in 2015 and 2016?

He wouldn't. That's not the point, though....in the low percentage chance that he did, who do we like out there?

It's purely hypothetical, but interesting discussion to me canvassing the potential coaches out there that would be a good fit at LSU.

There isn't one and if there was a slim miniscule chance, that's not enough to talk about.

I strongly suggest not worrying about things that are completely out of your control brother

No doubt that is great advice, but it's human nature to wonder what the hell we would do in the unlikely event.

There is a lot wrong with whats going on here.

1. miles isn't going to michigan

2. Jimbo Fisher and probably Shaw aren't coming here

3. Schiano?

4. Which Harbrough? Because i don't think either is leaving. 1 just won a super bowl, and 1 has been to one and been the NFC championship 3 years in a row.

It's posts like these that make me realize when the next coaching search happens for whatever reason, it's going to be a shite show with so many people convinced LSU can just snap their fingers and make awesome coaches come running

It happens every single time with these threads. And from my experience with the last two coaching searches, there are a shitload of people that really believe this.

Well hell, take Miles out of the equation and make it a "MSB" question....make it a : "what coaches out there are solid and and which suck, generally speaking?

Jones will offer Sumlin a ton. Too much to turn down. Michigan won't offer Miles enough to leave. But if he does, hopefully Kelly goes 4-12 and we get him.

Top of list are

Art Briles
Mark Helfrich

No to Schiano.

My personal opinion is Miles was not offered the last two times, and he would have and will take the Michigan job in a heartbeat if ever offered

Not sure if serious

No.

Miles is too damned old to start over. He has a good thing going here. My bet, retires at LSU.

Great choices, tremendous coaches.....My problem with those guys...great coaches, but total change in overall philosophy for LSU, which I would not really want (similar to Florida-Muschamp, Michigan-RichRod, bad fits and total overall philosophy program changes))

Thanks man...I appreciate your input...not sure why others can't have an open and honest discussion about coaches, realistic or not.

I don't think Jimbo would come either, but I'd give the full-court-press and at least try to woo him with his obvious perfect fit at LSU
