While I understand your point about Wisconsin, let's also remember Wisconsin plays in a division with Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, Northwestern, Purdue, and Illinois. Nebraska is the only team on that list that could/should be competing on the field with Wisconsin consistently, and even they have s...

re: Herman to LSU sauces. TIFWIW. Entertainment Value - JPLSU1981
If true, Frick Tom Herman for being a bitch. Frick Alleva for not having the patience to take a deep breath and regroup. There was no need to immediately turn to O within hours. O wasn't going anywhere. It's over and done now, time to move on. Alleva handled the situation poorly, but O pro...

re: So....are there any LSU fans that still think O was a good hire? - JPLSU1981
No, not a good hire ... but he will consistently beat everyone in the SEC besides Bama. And who knows, maybe he'll knock off Bama every now and again....

re: Yahoo's winners and losers of the coaching carousel.. - JPLSU1981
We'll be fine... we're in better shape Game1 2017 under O than we would be under Miles. I didn't like the O hire, but our program has improved relative to Miles IMO. Personally I think Alleva deserves to lose his job, but I actually do feel pretty confident that O will have success at LSU....

re: No one will touch this guy as a HC... - JPLSU1981
Honestly I'm not too stressed about the LSU OC search... whether it's Kiffin or not, LSU is gonna get a top-flight OC on the $$$ alone. While O may or may not have been the right move at HC (that's done and pointless in debating any longer) in my opinion it basically assured us of landing a top ...

re: No one will touch this guy as a HC... - JPLSU1981
Just guessing, but he's under contract at Bama, so it wouldn't shock me if he's been told that he will be honoring his contract or face some severe consequences, contractually and otherwise. I'm sure there's also motivation on his part to get another national title. Can't hurt the resume for down...

re: No one will touch this guy as a HC... - JPLSU1981
Again, I'm not saying we have an OC, but if it is indeed Kiffin there are certainly reasons that it wouldn't be announced yet. Some reasons being contractually-related. I have no idea if it's Kiffin or not, but all signs certainly point to that. And if you assume it's him, then it makes 100% sens...

re: Is money the only factor for getting the OC we want? - JPLSU1981
At $2mil a year for an OC, yeah you can pretty much just point to who you want and get him. The big question is who do they want. Kiffin is a tad different given his situation, but the vast majority of college OCs out there would jump at $2mil and LSU....

re: Why not go after sark - JPLSU1981
LOL at your support and interest in LSU football. It's one thing to be in the middle of LSU HC search threads, I can understand that, but to also be in the middle of LSU OC threads should tell you something about yourself. FWIW, when Bama is looking for an OC, just let me know who you guys hir...

re: Why not go after sark - JPLSU1981
Just a hunch... there's obviously something going on with reports out of Bama that neither Kiffin or Sark will be back. And then the reports out of Bama that Sark fell off the wagon. Almost like Bama found something out (them going to LSU) and now trying to slander them. Or getting ahead of the n...

re: Kirk Herbstreit just said Kiffin will 100% not be in BR next year - JPLSU1981
There's not odds out on LSUs OC search, but I'd imagine Kiffin would be by far the odds favorite at the moment. Anyone that thinks it can't happen are just being silly, of course it can and might.., at the moment, it appears pretty likely....

re: Fl Atlantic rumors much too early to rush to judgment, but - JPLSU1981
I'd be shocked if Kiffin went to FAU, but I was also shocked when LSU hired Orgeron, so who the hell knows anymore. Looks to me as an outsider that Lane Kiffin will be LSUs next OC...

re: Gilbert, Canada, Helfrich - USA Today - JPLSU1981
I used to be ok with it as well (fired HC back to OC), but after Cameron (fired HC back to OC), Crowton (fired HC back to OC), Kragthorpe (fired HC back to OC)... I'm ready to go away from that pattern. Granted, Krags was a weird one because he never truly became LSU OC, but nonetheless you get m...
