Has this EVER been achieved in the modern era? Apparently Saint Nick is exactly that - a majestical dictator that can win championships w/o a proven QB. This guy is not in LSU's head/fan base but he is has everyone psyched out. That's pathetic. I have met and like the little guy b/c of his tenacity and will to win but this needs to change. Come on down to Baton Rouge in Nov. and let's do business. NO MORE frick SABAN chants! That was bad karma and it bit us in the arse. After the game I'm ok with it..... Oh yea, and to add fuel to the fire here is assessment of LSU's chances in 2016. I think we will have the best year EVER!

But Saban is the best living coach in history. He probably wouldn't even need players, he's so good.

Yes. They get the best players every year and still have the best coach. They are the kings until proven otherwise.

As much as it pisses me off, they've earned the benefit of the doubt for how Sims and Coker played the last two years as first time starters.

They were without a QB at this time last year as well and it still worked out for them pretty well. They should be #1 until someone else earns it.

Its a lot better being a QB behind that # of talent. The depth they build every recruiting cycle is able to withstand most anything anybody has that plays them....

This same thread comes up every year and then they are either in the final game or win the title.

I have no problem with it. I'm pretty sure their backups are ok.

The gumps ruin college football. I wish I could go into suspended animation until that a-hole Saban dies.

Their unknown QB will end up doing better than ours by years end. Book it.

If I was Bama, I'd be worried like a son of a bitch about LSU. I hope they are ranked #1 - it would make beating that arse this year even sweeter. It will happen. This is our year. We will make up for lost time come Nov 5th.

IMO, good chance we will go undefeated this year.

Didn't I see that every defensive starter this year was a 5* recruit? I think they'll be fine.

This is the case every year, and rightfully so. Why would we expect anything different?

Saban has proven that an adequate QB behind a great OL and a good running game, along with a deep and talented defense, can bring home hardware.

LSU under Miles just has a hard time coaching guys into adequate QB's. Pair that with so so O-line play (Les' area of 'expertise') and we get what we get.

I'm hoping for the best but expecting the usual this year. Excited about the class we have coming back but I'm tired of getting my hopes up and being let down. I expect 9 wins and a disappointing bowl game. No reason to honestly expect otherwise.
