Tired of hearing "we have more talent". That's the dumbest shite ever. They have a class of 5 star talent every year! They have the number one recruiting class EVERY year! We have great 4-5 star talent, but to say we are more talented than Bama is just assinine!

You are blinded by fanhood. I get it. I hate Saban too. But he's the best coach in the game. One of the best ever in college football. It's not up for debate. You mention all the talent. Who recruits that talent? They want to play for him because he's the best in the business. We can knock them off this year.

I'm not blinded by fanhood at all, we have been putting together some excellent recruiting classes lately, in fact just counting the year that we recruited Fournette, and the recruting class for 2017, it is highly probably that we end up with 3 top 5 recruiting classes in just the past 3 years.
That isn't fandom, those are unarguable facts. I still think we need to get a couple more top 5 recruiting classes to match Alabama's recruiting classes position for position. However, for example take the reciever recruiting classes we have gotten the past 2 years.
Nobody, including Alabama matched what we did in receiver recruiting the past 2 years. Now the question remains to be seen if we can develop consistent enough QB play for it to matter, but talentwise name one team that can equal the talent we landed at the WR position the past 2 years??

Say what you want, but Lane is got at what he does. He get a QB ready and call great plays.
They just went to 2 straight NC games. They've earned the number 1 spot until someone takes it. You have to beat them, the Ritter, and the Media.

While you are right that Les and LSU has just gone through its best period of recruiting if going by rankings, but wr aren't winning you titles. It's the fact that bama had 8-9 players ready to sub in on defense. LSU gets the five star DB and it's helped against the spread teams, but we get dominated up front by teams that run similar offense to LSU. The dline must get better.

They didn't have a QB last year. National Champions.

They had a 5th year senior who had years of jimbo's QB coaching and some ACC games under his belt. Not to mention Kiffins' offensive scheme is very QB friendly.
He compared very similarly to Matt Flynn IMO being a 5th year senior with some starting experience and really good QB coaching.

I believe that Bama will lose multiple games in the regular season for the first since 2010, BUT I see nothing wrong with putting them #1 otherwise.
This is Bama the last 5 years
12-1 national champion
13-1 SEC champion & national champion
12-2
12-2 SEC champion & playoff berth
14-1 SEC champion & national champion
They've finished the regular season 11-1 AT WORST, the last 5 years. In 3 of those years they had a 1st year starting QB. And this year their WR talent and depth has never been this good. They have arguably the best trio of starting WRs in the country.
This is the only team that I would give the benefit of the doubt to as long as Nick Saban is there and they are pumping out #1 recruiting classes.

Alabama has proven they can win with a new qb. I hate it too but it is what it is. I would like to think that this would catch up with them sooner or later, but I also thought les miles was going to wake up after being embarrassed by Saban on 1/9/12. 5 years later and our offense is still a joke. Just go and read the anonymous quotes about LSU that Athlon sports published last week. I hope to God that changes, but I've lost faith it will. I'll have to see it before I believe it.
"But they looked so good against Texas Tech." Just shut up right now. Fournette is great and all but that's where it ends. Only works until we bite in to the meat of the sec schedule. Sure LSU has other play makers, but lately they seem to fade away when it matters most. Stack the box and dare LSU to pass. That's all they have to do.

Both Sims and Coker were 5th year Seniors as 1st time starters.
This is the first time they don't have a very experienced guy ready to go. I by experience, I mean someone in the program 3+ years or more out of high school.
McCarron was a redshirt sophomore, Bateman is a redshirt junior, Cornwell is a redshirt sophomore and Sims even spent two of his 5 years as a RB, and was horrid in his spring game as a senior.
Bama has two WRs that had over 1000 yards last year, a 700 yard WR, and a 600 yards TE. Find me any other team where the top 4 receiving options had 284 catches 3380 yards and 23 TDs. All the QB has to do is play pitch and catch. Compare that to 2011 when the brought back nobody with more than 38 catches, 557 yards, or 4 TDs.
The OL will likely give them trouble early on, but they are pretty much loaded as always everywhere.

Just stop it please. If Saban wins another NC, he will tie Bear Bryant for the most national championships by a football coach
The guy has 5 national championships in the last 13 years and two of those years he was in the NFL. So you could pretty much say that in his last 11 college years, about half of them have resulted in a national championship. The man has won 4 in the last 7 years. He has multiple SEC championships at two different schools and won national championships at two different schools.
I'd like for you to tell me who really stacks up to him in terms of accomplishments in the modern era?
Look. I hate Bama's winning ways and the fact that Saban is whiny and likes to play the saint only when it supports his cause, but the man runs a football machine on all cylinders. From recruiting to coaching, he has it down.

He won a championship with "no quarterback."

Has this EVER been achieved in the modern era? Apparently Saint Nick is exactly that - a majestical dictator that can win championships w/o a proven QB.
Two of his four national championships at bama have been won with a first year starting QB.
You are an idiot

Actually 3 of 4. McElroy in 2009 was a 1st year starter.

Makes you wonder doesn't it?
Especially when you look LSU's qb situation past few years.
