Yep this is by far their biggest test to date. Huge difference when you starting 5th year senior first time starter to RSF or Sophomore starter. With that being said I still have very little hope that they won't continue to plug and play players. Their recruiting classes are sicking good.
Ours is very good, but their classes are on a completely different level.

FWIW I think Clemson should have been the No 1 school and Bama 2nd just due to the fact of how potent Clemsons offense will be this year

Well there basing it off of history. He's won NC with a 1st year starter 3 times. He's the best coach in the business and has a stacked defense.
I hate Bama, but as long as that little angry man is there and we have a grass eating moron they are going to win dispite the fact we have more talent.

I can understand this thread 2 years ago. But it's just plain dumb and insane now. Is their no qb any worse than a 3rd string rb?

umm, kinda. Sims spent 2 years of his career as a full time QB. Coker was a 5th year senior who had newver played a meaningful snap and only had one year in Bama's system when he took the reigns. you're kinda right but not exactly.

Not correct. Bateman is a RS junior. This is his 4th year in the system. McElroy started as RS junior with very little playing time so we've seen this before.
AJ actually started as a redshirt sophomore so we've had younger QB's start.

McElroy, McCarron, Coker - all first year starters, all won the NC. Sims was also a first year starter and made the playoffs. I think Bama will be ok with their QB.

Alabama will have the best talent at QB they have had to work with since Kiffin has been there. Their defensive starters will be 5 stars across the board. And they are the best until LSU or anyone else can beat them.

Stop worshipping at the altar of Nick "The Dick" Saban. The guy couldn't cut it in the NFL and is nowhere near the best football coach who ever lived, contrary to what a lot of the buffoons on this board believe.
Stop treating Saban like he is some football coaching god, the truth is he isnt anything close to that, and if he was he would have proven that when he was head coach of the Miami Dolphins. Instead he totally blew as a head coach in the NFL, and had to take his slimy arse back to college cause he sucked at the NFL level.
The reason Alabama wins isn't because of Saban, its because they stack multiple top 5 recruiting classes on top of another for years upon years. We, however are beginning to do the exact same thing, and we are going to beat them this year to proving our success in the recruiting game. On top of that we now have a coaching staff that can handle anything scheme wise that Saban comes up with.
The guy isnt what people think he is, and I dont give a damn what his record is, it isnt him that is playing the game, its the blue chip recruits they have landed for many, many years now.
