Saint Nick is exactly that - a majestical dictator that can win championships w/o a proven QB.
this is 100% true. you're just gonna have to deal with it.
there's really no denying it no matter how much you hate him. sorry

Just stop it please. If Saban wins another NC, he will tie Bear Bryant for the most national championships by a football coach
The guy has 5 national championships in the last 13 years and two of those years he was in the NFL. So you could pretty much say that in his last 11 college years, about half of them have resulted in a national championship. The man has won 4 in the last 7 years. He has multiple SEC championships at two different schools and won national championships at two different schools.
I'd like for you to tell me who really stacks up to him in terms of accomplishments in the modern era?
Look. I hate Bama's winning ways and the fact that Saban is whiny and likes to play the saint only when it supports his cause, but the man runs a football machine on all cylinders. From recruiting to coaching, he has it down.
Nick Saban's record while head coach of the Miami dolphins from 2005-2006 netted a total of 9 wins and 7 losses. That is not a record of the maestro of all coaches as you profess him to be.
That is the record of a coach barely able to keep his job in the NFL, and henceforth it is what caused him to quit, before they could can his arse. Numerous factors go into winning football championships at the college level, and you dont have to be a strategical mastermind to win college football championships, its why the majority of college coaches fail at an epic level in the NFL.
He didnt win NCAA football championships because he is a master strategical tactician, he has won championships because they have flat out out talented other teams. LSU and other teams are now stringing together top 5 recruiting classes that has greatly evened out the talent disparity that they used to enjoy.
You fail to see that when Nick Saban was a head coach at the NFL level and the talent disparity is much more evenly distributed across all the teams, outside of the very worst ones, he failed miserably as a head coach.
The guy lost the players on the team because they had no confidence that the guy could win games as a head coach in the NFL, and also because he is a flat out prick. These are indisputable facts about Saban's coaching career that the ESPN arse kissing media, and apparently most of the people on this board apparently choose not to remember.
The facts bare out that when he has a huge talent advantage over other COLLEGE teams he is able to win championships. However, in the NFL where you really have to prove that you can come up with new tactical strategies and have a very detailed knowledge and understanding of the game, he was nothing more than another subpar head coach.
Dont get me wrong, I'm in no way saying Les Miles would be a better NFL head coach than Saban was. I think Les would be a terrible NFL head coach, but I've never heard Les profess to thinking he would be a succesful NFL head coach, and Les Miles actually seems to be a decent human being, which Saban has never been, and never will be.

So without reading 4 pages of this crap, I do agree with one thing... No eff you Saban chants until the clock says zero. I have laughed and then basically been made depressed for 2-3 days after blowing the lead in the final 60 seconds in 2012 and 2014. If we win, I'll join in. But we better be up by 3 touchdowns in the 4th before we do it again during a game...

he has proven he can make the best of what is available. and yes, f$ck saban

Dude quit embarrassing yourself.
Log off. Quit posting.
I hate Alabama and Saban as much as anyone here, fact is they've skull fricked pretty much everybody in their path aince he's been there.
Luck has been with them as far injuries go but they always seem to plug players in and make plays when they need to to win ballgames.

Your whole argument is based off of a year in the NFL which nobody gives a frick about. This is a college message board. Go somewhere else with that bullshite. Saban is responsible for all of the talent he brings in as well as the coaches he hires. He will go down as the best college football coach ever if he wins another one. Love him or hate him he gets the job done.

Tired of hearing "we have more talent". That's the dumbest shite ever.
Yeah this is the dumbest shite ever when I hear someone saying this. Alabama rakes in, what 8-10 5* yearly. We lucky if we get 3 to 4. Believe me that adds up year after year. Those numbers might be off but the point is their recruiting classes are ridiculously good. With that being said we have a chance to catch up if we keep recruiting the talent we did this year and in the next couple of years.

Jacob Hester was a 2 star and Gunner Kiel was a 5 star. Just sayin.

And...... Most responses for ANY post I've had over the years! I can live w that. Good read on perhaps why 'Bama's 1st time starters ended up so great. Verdict is out this year.

This is why....
As good as Fournette is, he won't be able to do anything with the kind of packages we run. BH gotta come in the clutch to just give us a chance at winning

it isnt him that is playing the game, its the blue chip recruits they have landed for many, many years now.
Blue chip recruits + good coach = multiple national championships.
Blue chip recruits + grass eating moron = 1/9/12

When it comes to secondaries who are always excellent in run support, Alabama is always at the top of the list. They aren't always good against the pass, but they're always good against the run.

Right, the NFL is totally irrelevant, its only the reason 99.99% of the top recruits sign with college football programs that get the most players to the league. Do you even know how ridiculous the crap you are spouting off is??
You have over 2,000 posts, and its pretty clear from your contributions to this thread, that every one of them is 100% worthless.
Move your worthless troll hyde on to another thread. Seriously man, you dont know what the hell you are talking about when it comes to the definition of what a good head coach is. If Saban was coaching an average team in college, like he did when he coached the Miami Dolphins he would have experienced the same lack of success. Saban is way overrated as a head coach, and if you cant or refuse to understand the explanations I've provided, there is nothing more that can be said.

Why not? They just won a national title with no QB.
