Krob just doesn't hit the ball hard.

I honestly didn't realize his BA was that low. Yikes. I really don't want to lose him defensively at 2nd, though. No one seems to have his range besides Bregman. I think Byrd would be the best chance to supplant him, honestly.

That wouldn't be a bad option to tryout midweek. I would just like to see someone else get a shot at 2nd.

i think bregman should be the 5 hole right now until he gets hot...sometimes a simple move helps a hitter so much.

just like last year, cpm moved him around and he was undoubtedly our best hitter at the end of the year

team ranks 2014: Alex Bregman

AVG: 2nd
HR: 2nd
XBH: 1st
RBI: 1st
Hits: 1st
OBP: 1st
SB: 1st

All this while batting in the 3 hole with no legitimate threat behind him!! People just don't understand, he's see a whole different pitch arrangement than ANYONE else on the team! All 3hole guys do, especially if the 4,5 hitters are not bombers. Dude sees curves and change ups in fastball counts and they don't give a shite if they walk him! It's not EA Sports 2K15 it's REAL baseball!

exactly my thinking as well

bubbz: Am I correct in hearing that Byrd is that good defensively, though? Thought I read that he is supposedly the heir apparent to Bregman at short potentially. If so, it seems like he could be in the lineup sooner than later if KRob doesn't kick it up a notch.

Neither he nor hale were really tested. Both did fine. I almost said something about the ball that bounced off Hale but it was definitely a hit and nothing to argue over.

The list would be bigger if Stevenson didn't have a hammy issue.

Not naming names. But there is one who thinks the OF should be Fraley Laird Foster...

Bregman is our best player. We are 10 games into a long season. Calm down.

I really don't know, but I've heard the same about him replacing Bregs next season, so one would have to assume that he is solid defensively. Ell may know a little more about that.

No one had "bombers" last year. And we had moore and Scivicque hell or even Fraley who would have done fine to protect him but BCPM.

12 games. He's only our best if he plays like it. I am very calm. No need for concern.

I could dig this, but here's mine.

Foster - RF
Laird - LF
Hale - 1B
Bregman - SS
Scivicque - C
Stevenson - CF
Zardon - 3B
Fraley - DH
Robertson - 2B

I like the idea of surrounding Bregman with some power to get him some better pitches to hit. And also Foster's canon in RF to keep teams from going first to third.

I'm on board with those saying to give someone else a shot at 2nd. All you need is consistency there. The range is great, but how many times a game is there a hit there that KRob gets that someone else wouldn't. Someone with offense that can make the routine plays and turn double plays is all you need. He plays hard but we've never seen him show any promise at the plate to this point.
