Where should we be ranked to satisfy you? I'd like to know this.

Penalties and dropped passes are skewing this statistic.
Harris makes very good decisions specifically protecting the ball and that's with subpar pass blocking.
The only stats important now 3-0 overall and 2-0 sec.
Just keep that rolling.
How's all those passing yards working for Oregon. TCU is barely undefeated. Ole Miss is very beatable.

Not surprising. Like I have said many times, I would like LSU to go out and prove they'r capable of putting up big numbers through the air. Do we need to become like Baylor full-time? No, not at all, but we need to prove we can kick your arse if you dont respect the pass game.

What will really happen the next 4 weeks:

We will continue the same plan, very little throwing with run run run over and over.

The passing game will not improve, but we will be undefeated over that stretch.

The game against Bama will be close, but we still will not be passing the ball.

All in all, dont get your hopes up because what you see right now is what you're going to get the rest of this year, and Les Miles has never ever done anything to prove otherwise.

Navy,Army and Air Force are the schools with less passing yards than us.

For whatever reason I still believe Harris will come close to 200 yds/g this year but we need to step that shite up.

The frick...

I mean, you have a RB that is running for 200+ ypg, and some of you still want, what, a 300+ ypg passer?

Harris, at this point, is a game manager, and we're 3-0 this year with 0 turnovers from him.

Well, then you're not as smart as I think I thought you think you are, 'cause you know how Les works, and to expect that, from this QB, is like expecting Eli Manning to run like Michael Vick.

Not at all. No one has said this. Why all you sunshine pumpers think LSU want to be Baylor is beyond me.

We're not even CLOSE to a quarter of Baylor.

How about just proving you can throw when you want to throw? How about that? We can run when we want to run, but thats not always going to be the case, so why not give ourselves another weapon to keep the opponent guessing?

Why is this lost on sunshine pumpers?

If you want a respectable average, how about 200+ ypg? We have some of the best WR talent in the country.

lol... Baylor is way better than that.

Well, maybe that's EXACTLY what they are doing.

What's up with the names? I never said you were a "negatiger" or any of that shite. My point is that the offense is ruuning along pretty well right now, regardless of the QB's stats.

Sure, that would be great, but let's see how much more confident Harris can get.

There was no way that Les was going to start chucking the ball all over the field against MSU with it being Harris' first game of the year, on the road, against a good D.

They didn't need Harris to throw a lot against AU, as Leonard was taking care of the offense by breaking off big runs.

As for the Syracuse game, we had some horrible field position in the first half, and Les is not going to throw from that position when he has Fournette, so Fournette ran. It also does not help Harris' stats when Fournette keeps breaking off all of these long runs - Brandon has less field to work with.

Will Brandon get to 200 ypg - I hope so, but as long as LSU keeps running like they have been, and Harris keeps hitting passes when he needs to, and doesn't turn the ball over, then I don't know why more people can't be okay with that.

This happens to every team. I get a little tired of people riding this excuse. Regardless, the game plan limits his opportunities until they are needed. The numbers, IMO, are not indicative of Harris. They are more telling of our current offensive philosophy.

Yeah you are right on this, but the average team throws nearly twice as much as we do so drops affect us more.

3-4 drops in 30 attempts is just 10-13%.
3-4 drops in 15 attempts is 20-26.7%.

If you're dropping a 5th or a quarter of your passes, that affects things greatly!

Rish offered some perspective last night. Said BH was late on some throws. Cam is aware of this and is purposely holding him back.

I don't think anyone is wanting to chunk all over. But 123 is embarrassing so say the least. We have to seek balance.

There are passes that he is hitting and his receivers are dropping.

Every team drops passes. And having a star RB is great but I'm a little skeptical with the idea LSU isn't passing only bc LF is so good. Why? Bc LSU rarely can pass well regardless of the RB situation. And it has cost LSU many games. I don't see much different here.

Our RB is averaging 210 yards per game. Harris is doing whats he asked and we're 3-0. Yall really need to let it go.

He's definitely been late on his throws as well. They've got to get that under control. That would improve the passing greatly as well.

No, LSU needs to use the entire military force it has.

So there's a drop off when a teams best player isn't on the field? Breaking news.
