Navy,Army and Air Force are the schools with less passing yards than us.

For whatever reason I still believe Harris will come close to 200 yds/g this year but we need to step that shite up.

Harris will not be anywhere near 200 yards per game this year

Why go to war using a rifle when you have a tank?

But I do believe we will see Harris pass more and more as the season goes. Im hoping its a process that will gradually increase as the comfort level and experience does.

Why not? He's had some dropped passes and tad bit off the mark throws. He could easily have over 100 yds more on the season.

Sure, if he starts throwing for 275+ pretty soon

And yet we're averaging 33 points per game. Go figure.

Because we won't call enough pass plays. There may be a few games when we have to throw it 20-25 times, but Miles is perfectly content throwing it 15 times as long as we're winning.

We better get a passing game..Bama and Ole Missy will stop LF enough to force long 3rd downs...

Balance is needed to win against elite defensive talent.

Frankly with this much talent all over the feild being 123rd in Pass rankings is an embarrassment. I am so sick of being so low for elite program

Just watch the highlights, my Gosh we can be the best ever team we've fielded...

Harris has big time talent...he needs to be set free...

LF can not carry us to a title by himself

What if he tweaks an ankle? Then what?

Williams looks slow compared to LF...

Guice dances too much

We have big time talent behind LF,but let's be real, it's a big drop off when he isn't in the game

LSU doesn't pass a lot. I'm OK with it. Harris seems to be able to make plays when he needs to. That's what matters to me at this point.

Meanwhile, Arkansas is 31st in passing yards per game and is 1-3 (0-1) against a comparable schedule. I'll take 3-0 (2-0).

Ole Miss threw more times in the 1st quarter than Harris threw all game, yet they struggled to beat Vanderbilt at home. Do we need to be capable of passing more? Yes. Do we need to get the passing game in better sync? Yes. Do we need to chunk the ball all over the field to win? No.

Harris showed last night that when we needed him, he could hit receivers. Again, when you have the tank, use the tank!!

We're already over 1/4 of the way through the season and Harris' average is so far below 200 a game that he would need to average ~240 per game from here on out to bring his average up to 200...and thats not going to happen.

On the other hand, I do expect him to crack 200 yards in some of the upcoming games, and its even possible that he averages over 200 per game in the remaining 8 (though I doubt it)...but its pretty much a certainty that his season average isn't going to be 200+.

I've seen this movie before....it does not end well!

Here's to hoping we can throw it successfully enough to keep defenses honest and hit on the playaction pass.

This happens to every team. I get a little tired of people riding this excuse. Regardless, the game plan limits his opportunities until they are needed. The numbers, IMO, are not indicative of Harris. They are more telling of our current offensive philosophy.

O Line blocks well on running plays. They did not give Harris much time in the pocket. Kid did not have a lot of chances to check his receivers. Not Harris' fault and, honestly, not the coaches play calling fault.

Our O Line is a good one but Harris is completely dependent upon them to give him protection and time.

There are passes that he is hitting and his receivers are dropping.
