with the best PPG post player duo in the SEC and Mickey who has 200 career blocks and we are overachieving.

What makes LSU more talented than those teams? Recruiting rankings? I don't get it. They don't execute in games.

We may not be "that talented" but look around the SEC. Only UK and maybe Arkansas have more talent

This is correct, and we have equivalent talent to Arkansas, they are not any better than us in that department. They play more guys, but they have to in their system.

There is nothing to execute. Jones said he doesn't call sets because he wants them to know what to do when they can't call one

Where is this LSU talent you speak about. I don't see it. Only thing Mickey been lauded for is his shot blocking but he's a turnover machine. Martin is soft as Jelly. Our guards are just average.

you obviously don't watch much SEC ball if you think anyone but UK and maybe Arky have more talent

Quarterman will be an NBA pick

Martin and Mickey will both be NBA picks

The people trying to downplay that talent is laughable, they are very skilled players. At times, like tonight, they can be off. Mickey simply took the damn game off. Martin is the most frustratingly inconsistent player I've seen come through LSU in recent times. If we had better coaching maybe we wouldnt see such inconsistency.

Gray, Hornsby and Patterson are good supporting players for those 3.

Are they great? no. But much better than the putrid talent on every other team in the SEC besides Kentucky. Probably have equivalent talent to Arkansas and Florida. The rest of the SEC is running out there with mostly Conference USA talent

This LSU team just doesn't have the talent to make a run this year. Most on here blame Jones but the truth is Mickey and Martin aren't that talented. The guards we have are nothing special. We just ain't got the horses. This team is overachieving not underachieving

Yeah, we're losing to shitty arse teams like Mizzou and Auburn because we lack talent. Other than Kentucky, no program in the conference has had a bigger influx of talent over the last couple of years than LSU with Martin, Mickey, Quartermann, Bridgewater, Hornsby, Gray, Patterson etc. Overachieving? You clearly don't have a clue.

Martin and Mickey are being projected THIS YEAR as NBA draft picks, keep up with the times.

You dont have a clue what you're talking about.

Ok but what cbb team is 25+ games in and cant inbound? Our offense looks like they are playing at a rec center and its 5 random guys on the team that have never played together. Our only strength is Mickey and Martin ( when he wants to show up) and when the game hang in the balance, we stop feeding them. It's mind blowing.

fwiw, Mickey is having a better year statistically than O'Bryant did last season. He's one of a couple of players averaging a double double in league play, and is on a few awards watch lists. He will be in the NBA.

He had a bad game...shite happens.

The crazy thing is that Musselman talked more in between timeouts than I've ever seen him

I don't think you understand the difference between talented and disciplined

Bc what you described is discipline

We have 3 7 footers on the bench, one of whom helped turn an 8 point deficit into a 1 point deficit in the first half.

FACT: Eddlestone, Malone, Odo, and Robinson would get minutes on an team in the SEC outside of Kentucky... and I think you would see Robinson every now and then on Kentucky.

And Epps should be getting minutes too.

Exactly. There are dumbasses on this site that say this year's team is more talented than the 2006 team and 1st team all sec pg Darrel Mitchell(2006) wouldnt get any playing time in this year's backcourt.
We dont have a single player that will , without a doubt, make a NBA roster.

We dont have good/ great guard play. CBB has become a guard driven league. The NCAA championship is usually determined by which program's guards are playing the best.
