He's a poor in game coach. He has Musselmann on the bench and doesn't let him contribute. The guy is never even standing in the huddle. I don't think Johnny even knows what a grease board is since he doesn't keep one on the bench. His use of timeouts to break a run is really confusing and his offensive sets leave a lot to be desired.

This team is hugely disappointing and shouldn't have 6 SEC losses. This is a team with tournament talent but will be sitting in the NIT. No way they can win them all until the Arkansas game or beat Arkansas

It's time for someone to sock him in the face for "coaching" this team into the ground.

at this point can we just have Jones recruit and have Musselmann do the x's and o's and draw up the plays. I mean, he can't be that bad at it; he was a head coach in the NBA once. Maybe he knows how to use a timeout

Musselmann will not be here next year. Look for him to end up out west

This isn't meant to be a bash thread. He needs to take a look at his philosophy and really consider what hes doing. Letting them play through runs and not calling set plays. This team is likely going to miss the NCAAs with a top 2-3 talented SEC roster

Team is not that talented. They don't make free throws, rebound and are careless with the basketball. People always talk about how talented we are. I think its time you look in the mirror and just realize we aren't that talented. Plus we have absolutely no depth.

We may not be "that talented" but look around the SEC. Only UK and maybe Arkansas have more talent

The guy has won more games in his first three years than any other LSU coach.

He doesn't have a single player on the team that gets it all done every night. Martin is close, but not always on. I'm talking someone scoring 16 on their off night. If we rotated in 9 or 10 players, that would be asking too much. Not when we play mostly just five and two others.

The best coaching Jones can do is convincing everybody to come back next year that is eligible. Until then, simply enjoy the ride and cheer on your team . . .

they are talented but missing a couple key pieces. poorly coached and lacking in fundamentals, discipline and basic concepts of the game.

but all that will be just fine next year!

He never looked in that mirror when he blew several seasons in the Sun Belt with the most talent in the league. He grossly underachieved there. He hasn't changed.

This LSU team just doesn't have the talent to make a run this year. Most on here blame Jones but the truth is Mickey and Martin aren't that talented. The guards we have are nothing special. We just ain't got the horses. This team is overachieving not underachieving

You also dont see him doing much good coaching either

Like watching a 8 point lead completely slip away, then turn into a 2 point and then 4 point deficit...and STILL never a timeout, despite watching us jack up 3 terrible 3 pointers in a row.

I'm not asking for "a run". I'm asking for a bid to the dance and that's it. Texas a&m and ole miss are likely going to punch dance cards with less talent than LSU
