This has nothing to do with the OP's agenda so it will be ignored/cursed/banned/etc etc

You sure went to a lot of trouble to make a point that matters not at this point.

The topic of this thread is: Harris was hurt in 2014. Look, it's right there in the title of the thread.

You and LSUballs don't want to talk about the topic of this thread. You want to ignore the topic. You would rather talk about "crunch time coaching blunders and so on and so forth."

However, irony of ironies, when it comes to discussing your topic, you accuse me of wanting to ignore it.

Hey, take your Adderall and try to stay on topic. Quit deflecting merely because you have no response to the OP.

It's a topic that gets discussed just about every day on this board, most days more than once.

And you can bet your arse that if Harris does well this season, and I think he will, there will be even more whining and complaining about the "moronic decision" by that "grass-eater" to not play Harris more in 2014.

Oh, and one more thing, if it "matters not at this point," why did you click on the thread, read it, and then type a post?

this is more for the the folks that say Harris would never play. We do have issues on the o that I hope will be fixed. But we have had potent offenses under Miles. Some of the best in LSU history.

I cannot believe people are upvoting this guy. This is the stupidest thread I have ever seen. I am as big of a Miles fan as their is. I also believe Harris was injured during the Auburn game. You act as if Harris would have sat the bench the rest of the year even if he had come out @Auburn and dominated them, throwing for 300 yards.

The reason he didn't play was because last year he did not give us a better chance to win. He had, and still has, a better arm, but at the time Jennings was more comfortable with the playbook and had experience in big SEC games. He was never going to go out there and light teams up, but Miles had confidence that he would go in and not make mistakes.

Miles made the right call last year. Jennings gave us the opportunity to compete in every game we played. Now that Brandon has more experience, has matured physically, has matured mentally, knows the system better, etc. it is time for him to take the reigns of this offense because he is much more talented.

Don't give me this high ankle sprain bullshite as the reason why he didn't play more. There are plenty of reasons why Miles chose Jennings over Harris, but this injury was just another of many reasons.

And for the record, people tape their ankles all the time. It does not mean that someone is hurt, it just means that they are trying to prevent rolling their ankles. Now once you roll your ankle you are more likely to do it again (which is why Harris took the time to tape his), but just saying that their are people who tape their ankles every game and don't have ankle injuries.

I've never....ever....ever said BH wasn't hurt....which I believe was the point of your holy wall of text. I'm just amazed at how much time you spend (and apparently you have a shitton of time) defending all that is LSU coaching/players/philosophy/play-calling/disputed injuries/etc etc.

I know its pains you, but I'm not deflecting....I'm just baffled at your need to justify/defend. If you're not a lawyer...you should be.

I also believe that Harris will be good for LSU this year, but last year was different.

I think the best example is Matthew Stafford. Absolutely sucked early on his freshman year even though he had all the talent in the world. By his sophomore year though, he was one of the best QBs in the NCAA

So your post was just gratuitous ad hominem?

Oh, and I don't defend all that is LSU coaching/players/philosophy/play-calling/disputed injuries/etc etc. I shed light on a few issues that many fans have gotten wrong in their heads.

It wastes more of my time to read the constant, ignorant bullshite that many fans get consistently wrong, than the few minutes I spend creating posts to educate those fans.

You missed the point of the thread, and that is no easy task.

The point of the thread is to refute the posters who say that Miles is a moron because he refused to play Harris. The point of the thread is to point out that playing Harris was not an option. Apparently you ignored these Miles Basher statements:
quote:

I don't care if Harris admitted: "I’m the only thing that is holding myself back. I held myself back this past season, and now I realize that.... I was my biggest thing that was holding me back this past season.... I wasn’t good enough last year — plain and simple."

I don't care if Harris admitted: "Last year, I would be the first one to tell you I didn’t know the ins and outs of things I needed to know.... I’m not having anybody like the right tackle (Jerald Hawkins in the Auburn game) tell me I’ve called the wrong play or this and that."
Those statements clearly indicate that it was NOT merely the injury that was keeping Harris off the field. I agree that Harris was not ready to start at QB last year even if he was healthy, but that's a different issue for a different day.

quote:

You act as if Harris would have sat the bench the rest of the year even if he had come out @Auburn and dominated them, throwing for 300 yards.
I don't know how you come to that conclusion from the OP. Harris was not ready. Harris said he was not ready. The OP quotes Harris's statements that he was not ready. However, if Harris had come out @Auburn and dominated them, throwing for 300 yards, Miles might have been more tempted to press his luck and play Harris even though he was injured. As it was though, there was no reason to tempt fate and risk aggravating an injury.

Right? I can't believe we haven't won the NC at least every other year. Too bad we have to settle for the most successful coach in LSU history. It's just sad.

Can you put together a similar defense post for the other 37 major clusterfricks under the Les Miles tenure? I would like to know the reasons why. lol
