Excellent documentation. But as with all things in life, people let their prejudices blind them to reality.

I don't really care that much to be honest. We were in a pretty shitty position between Harris' lack of development/maturity and Jennings lackluster play. I just find it funny somebody actually goes through the trouble of putting together a post like this.

That is the universal excuse all of you guys will use because there's nothing else to say other than "I am wrong."

Even pro style prodigies like Andrew Luck & Jameis Winston redshirted their freshman years. I guess these posters beating the "Harris wasn't properly prepared by the staff drum" must also feel that Jim Harbaugh & Jimbo Fisher are inadequate QB developers too since neither had Luck or Winston ready to go in their first seasons on campus.

quote:

After redshirting during his freshman year in 2008, he earned the starting quarterback job in 2009 over the returning starter, Tavita Pritchard, thereby becoming the first Stanford freshman to earn the starting quarterback job since Chad Hutchinson in 1996.

Winston redshirted during the 2012 college football season behind senior quarterback EJ Manuel.

Are you really going to contend that LSU beat Ole Miss because of how our offense performed? If so, you're an idiot and I'm wasting my time having this conversation.

When Jennings was able to spread the field and use his legs, it opened up the running game for everyone, otherwise teams could stack the box and wait for us to run against 8-9 in the box.

lol...You seem a little angry. I wasn't knocking BH, but apparently he has certainly matured and developed this past off season from practice reports and what Miles has said.

Putting their QB in a position where he may be more comfortable makes way too much sense for LSU to do it. Just like continuously slamming LF into 9 man fronts. Also, who would have thought that if spread things out a bit and create running lanes for your all world RB that he may have an easier time finding space to run? (see A&M and ND games, which were coincidentally LF's two best rushing games)

It's absolutely embarrassing that LSU generally has such a mediocre offense when they usually have so many great players on that side of the ball. Hopefully they tailor their approach to and playcalling to the strong suits of Brandon Harris this year. If not, it will be the same ole story.

Pretty much 100% of the "Man on the Street" LSU Season Ticket Holders, Alumni and Fans that we talk to around BR agree with this.

Everybody has been patient, but the patience ends this season. No more patience and no more "Mr. Nice Guys" if things go South.

Most are being cautiously optimistic and think Brandon Harris can get the job done in 2015. There are no reasons that he can't, but if he can't for whatever reasons and the Offensive "Problems" continue on yet again this season, there's going to be "Big Trouble in Little China" at the end of the year.

If Manziel and Winston can win Heisman Trophies as RS Freshmen, BH should be able to learn enough of the playbook and do all the other things that are necessary to bring the team an SEC West Championship. 10 win season is the minimum acceptable standard for this team full of athletic and coaching talent. (9-3 regular season with a Bowl Win)..........................

Do you think scientist will one day discover the gene that allows a QB to take snaps under center?

Do you think one day Les Miles will realize that if you are going to recruit a dual thread QB, they are more effective when you put him in shotgun, spread the field and create one on one matchups?
