Incorrect. He could go 0-12. Alleva has no testicles and is content to let CLM's contract run it's course. Gullible fans will continue to keep the Athletic Department flush with cash. And that, my friends, is what it's all about: MONEY. When you think about the money, then it all makes sense. Miles is a primary source of $$. Winning championships has become secondary.

I think if A&M comes into TS and beats LSU by 17+, I think he should be on the hot seat for next year, especially if LSU loses to Ark... wow. It's not just about losing to Alabama and A&M, but come on, OM is not that good, he did not have a legit OC for years, horrible front desk decisions over the past 9 years ... I could go on about this. Keep in mind he's in the top ten highest paid coaches right now.

I mean, yeah, he's done some great things but at some point you have to ask, "is this guy in a rut here"?

Take a close look at next year's schedule. A 6-1 start to the season is a VERY solid possibility. If somehow or someway Auburn is banged up physically going in to that game week, we may stand a shot. Arkansas won't be much better next year. Ole Miss probably won't be quite as good next season, either.

The question is, can the team parlay that probable fast start off to the 2014 season and finish the last 5 games strong??

I say cut our losses this year

do you seriously think LSU would fire him after an 8-4 season. We will beat Arkansas if we play Texas Tech or Okie state we might lose the bowl game so 8-5. No way Les is fired after 8-5.

If we go 8-5 this year and 6-6 next year. Alleva will realistically have to look at making a move.

a blind monkey could win 8 or 9 games a year here with our schedule and talent base/facilities. a decent coach can get 10 a year. that's miles. a decent coach. nothing more. for us to go 6-6 something really bad would have to happen.

His seat was pretty hot going into that game. And if they didn't get that second chance for the win, he may have been ran off then. That team Started clicking after that game. Problem is he always finds a way to screw it up. I'm sorry but after that shite show he put on on 1/9, I will never be able to respect him and notice he is the one thing that is standing In the way of this program and greatness. He may be a nice guy etc, but he is a shitty coach

Please tell me you haven't reproduced. Miles has been lsu's most successful coach, EVER. where have you gotten this idea that lsu is some god like program that can just steer itself , I have no idea.

Why wait this is not getting better .. I tired of seeing my alma mater get embarrassed. Yeah my take is extreme .. Again why wait .. Take the bama attitude and adios .. There are 3-4 solid coaches out there to hire .. Yeah my take is not popular, we cannot wait 2 more years to yield the same results

Throughout his tenure no program has more wins than lsu.
No program has been ranked for more weeks.
No program has beaten more ranked teams.

People love to point out how we might hire the wrong guy to replace him.

How about pointing out Ohio State? They fired John Cooper after an 8-4 season...there for 12 years, never had a losing season after his first...111-43 record.

Then they hired Jim Tressel.

Then they hired Urban Meyer.

I don't understand people who think there is no life after Les.

All coaches have their run, Miles did some really good things while at LSU but he's lost the "WANT" to be the best. I don't think he will ever be fired but dammit only he can step away. If he has the chest then he should be honest with himself and step aside, he doesn't have the fire anymore and recruits will start to notice.

Everyone Listen Up:

He's NOT going anywhere unless he chooses. His buyout, which was already insane, was extended by Alleva last time Michigan sneezed.

He could go 0-12 and pick his nose on camera every game, and you still couldn't get rid of the guy. His buyout is just too big!!!

There's no pressure on Miles in this regard. Maybe pressure from criticism, but he's untouchable (as long as he doesn't do anything to void his contract), unless you have $18 million sitting around to blow.

I have thought that for years, LSU has won games on talent alone and not because they were 'coached up' and/or developed. Now that we may have an OC who can develop talent, are we still bringing top talent in? The rest of the division is getting better and it's getting tougher for us. If we start to slide, TAF and Alleva need to act. I don't want to watch a slow death.

The players and coordinators steer it dumb arse. If you can't see that when ever Les touches something, he fricks it up, maybe you aren't looking. Since 2006, we have been slowly declining. Yes we won the BCS NC in 07, we needed a miracle and Miles tried his best to frick that up. After that fiasco on 1/9 along his constant refusal to adjust/make changes is coming back to bite him. He refuses to make changes (admin as well as in game) and he is like people with your beliefs, people who refuse to see that there is something wrong because you are living in the past. This dude is a fricking Moron and needs to go. You keep posting his past stats. Please, enlighten me, what has he done for me latley
