I downvoted, and I have not watched Hask8ns this year. The OSU coaches watched him and Burrow, though, and they picked Haskins. And don’t give me this crap that it was even. Notice that Haskins never left?

Urban said they were equal. Wouldn't name a starter. So JB left.

Anyone who says Haskins "beat out" Burrow is drinking the MSM & ESPN Koolaid.

Haskins is a stud. But telling the truth about the Burrow vs Haskins competition discredits the false narrative... not Haskins

I dont remmeber Utban naming a starter. And if you werent trying to discredit Haskins no need to bring up the 40% completion as the screens didnt happen

Meyer moved the goalposts. Promised to name a starter the week after the Spring game, then didn't. No longer a fair competition. Burrow is now competing quite nicely.

Maybe he genuinely didn't know who he wanted to start. Or maybe he did like Haskins a little better but not a lot better. I don't think there was malicious intent here.

The guy has won 3 NCs. I'm not one to appeal to authority but the guy has earned the benefit of the doubt about these decisions and thus far he hasn't been proven wrong.

We appreciate the words of encourage that we got a good QB. But Haskins is good as well. He's also 5-0, and similarly led his team back from 2 scores down to win on the road against a quality opponent. I can see why Meyer struggled to make his decision.

Nothing to argue with on this comment. Well said..

I've watched every snap of both QB's on video or in person since they started in high school. You haven't watched a single snap of Haskins this year.

Can't argue with that comment, downvoter:)

Not trying to discredit Haskins. But, pointing out that good QB's often throw for low percentages against tough defenses. Trace McSorley is also a Heisman candidate, and he threw for 50% on Saturday.

Haskins is a top 5 QB in the country

I believe Burrow is a Top 20 QB in the country (time will prove me right)

Just so happens they were on the same team. Kinda speaks to excellent QB recruiting vs whatever LSU has been doing for the past decade

I think I’ll trust Urbans opinion of yours . I mean he is only one of the best college coaches of all time.

Perfect. Meyer said repeatedly that it was too close to decide. I'll buy that.

IMO, Burrow has better touch, and is a better field general, but still, I'll buy Meyer's assessment.

Much like TigerRee, you’re trying too hard. Relax, everyone loves Burrow around here. Your personal crusade turns people off.

Without the screens, DH was 40%.

I watched the game. Haskins was shook in the 2nd quarter, but he was damn solid the rest of the game. His WRs dropped like 5 straight passes, including one that led to an INT.

Joe burrow completed 50% against Southeastern Louisiana 3 weeks ago.

I love how you think this somehow is a positive argument for burrow.

"The coach wouldn't choose between player A and player B, so player A quit."

The next logical question is, why did player A quit if he still had a chance to be the starter?

The only logical answers are either he didn't want to keep competing or he didn't think he was going to be the starter whenever that decision got made. Either way it's not a positive for him.

I also love how burrow is the only quarterback you track dropped passes, throwaways, pressures, etc and compile a "what if" completion percentage for.

Your weekly scorned-lover burrow threads are pathetic and do the opposite of making him look better.

Thanks for the comment, themunch. I pass these little inside tidbits on to the people who find them interesting. The "Mean Girls" (haters) are on every sports site. Can't imagine what they get out of it.

Couldn't possibly care less what they think. But I don't mind proving them wrong from time to time.

after the 3rd, he was 15-29
