He was also extremely unintelligent

I dunno…Marino was about 3 iq points away from being retarded but his work ethic and football iq was above average and he had a cannon for an arm. Jamarcus should have been a solid starter but he just couldn’t get his shite together

I like JR, but some of those comebacks were required because of his poor play earlier in the game. Tennessee in 06 comes to mind. Terrible pick 6 and a few other interceptions caused the deficit he later overcame.

I promise it wasn’t 242 yards

I think Brandon Racca from Lacassine held it at one point at like 200ish feet.

best arm he’s ever seen was Jamarcus Russell. Its a shame he’s now thought of as a joke

Yeah. But it’s his own fault.

a joke in the NFL, but to me that doesn't tarnish what he did in college. College and pro are two different games.

Clearly one of the best QBs to play here. Nothing he did in the NFL detracts from that.

Maybe the guy was blessed with a lot of talent but just never really liked football. Don’t hate on the guy. Best QB I’ve seen at LSU outside of Burrow.

There is no evidence of this while in college. That's why he was drafted #1.

bullshite. His college tutor was a client of mine. He couldn’t read. I remember asking her “you mean, he doesn’t read well? Like a 3rd grade level?” She looks at me and says “No, at all”

Greg Mcelroy brings up Jamarcus
Farve, Elway, Marino, Jim Kelly, Vick, Stafford, Josh Allen, Mahomes, Aaron Rogers, Justin Herbert and Jeff George are the best arms I have seen in the NFL. All the old timers in my family say Bradshaw and Doug Williams had best arms of all time.

Jerry Glanvil agrees with you. He said he used to make "Missippi" throw the ball out of the stadium to intimidate opponents. Then let him ride the bench..

Jamarcus lost multiple games for us.

He was 25-4 as the starting QB

Joe Burrow was 25-3, for comparison.

I looked up that article. It was written by a college kid. In that same article he goes on to say how amazing and successful Brady Quinn is going to be in the NFL.

Yeah he only set the completion % and qb rating record at top 15 alltime program at the time.

Please tell us about these boneheaded plays made what was the gold standard of lsu qbing until burrow.
You're literally shitting on lsu when you shite on Jruss. Did you sleep through his tenure? He sits a top or near the tip of every lsu record.

That article said Jruss ran a simple offense at lsu. You can dismiss anything else that site said.

It's crazy the lengths lsu "fans" will go to shite on its own players.

How did he get the 24 on the Wonderlic, then?

Did his agent sneak in as him?

Seems like you’ve run into a Rant narrative. It’s amazing how a couple of lies stick with some and become reality to them. Everything that poster is saying is false but he isn’t trolling.

Rant narratives live for sure... kind of like how all our wrs just suddenly weren't able to get open, even preseason all Americans, this season.
Or
How Boutte gave up on the team even though he blocking his arse off on running plays all year and the coaches before the season gave him #7.
