Where the heck is all the criticism of the Eagles coach for his horrible clock management right before halftime yesterday?? The NFL is supposed to be the best of the best and yet they can still bungle clock management big time.

It honestly drives me crazy to see anyone defend the Auburn game. Yes, they would have been able to attempt a FG. The point is that Miles' job is to control and help the team run the two minute drill. In the Auburn game, LSU runs something like 3 plays in the last minute of the game. Three fricking plays. That is not putting your team in the best position to win.
On Saturday, they were in no hurry whatsoever with 3 minutes to go on the 45. Watch from about the 3:30 mark to the 1:30 mark, they run something like 4 plays and take most of the 40 second clock every play. Next, they call a run that goes for 1 yard and 7 seconds run off the clock before a timeout is called. It was 2nd and 10, did Miles not realize that a fricking run up the middle might not get them 10 yards. The decision to call a timeout should've been made before the play. It is the same thing with not sending in jefferson with 2 plays, he had no clue that his play might not score a TD.
I can't name the extensive list of his shitty clock management. There are numerous examples where he has not put his team in the best position at the end of a half (which rarely get mentioned) or the end of a game. Not good for a CEO type of coach who doesn't run defense or offense.

Did you not watch the video I posted? The play was in with over 20 seconds left. Flynn took the time down to read the coverage. The ball was in D Byrd's hands with a minimum of 3 seconds left. It is very easy to defend this.
Here's the video again, because you obviously missed it.

My guess is he has not made herbie look like a fool or put james' kid in a timeout. I hate it when I see all of the espn tools on here who claim to be Tiger fans.

Is this another thread where one side post all the negative things Les Miles has done and another post all the postive, then both sides begin the name calling?

Palmer is one of the better guys on ESPN. I know he went to Florida but he does give us our due when we have earned it. He is right on

My bad. I just can't sit and watch espn turn LSU fans into tools. espn helped run off a good coach at TTU and now they will never reach those glory days again. You guys have got to see what espn is doing. They are trying to put LSU back into the 80's and 90's. Remember the great coach Saban has a hard time beating Les. One game in OT and the other with the help of the refs. So is Myer a better coach than Les even though Saban skull drags Florida the last two games. You guys need to stop being espn wimp tools.

Repeatedly? With Miles, it's not the F'up...everyone F'ups. It's the reapeated F'ups of a similar nature and the muted reaction saying that you'll fix it and it keeps happening again and again.

quote:Not only that, look up just how GREAT our kicking game had been at that point of that seasons. I'll save you the trouble. We were terrible. It was the right call. Reasonable minds cannot differ on that one.
A 35+ yarder is a "Chip shot" ? Wow. You are a moron.
You ever heard of a field goal being blocked? Or missed? That's why you TRY to win it with the touchdown BEFORE you attempt a field goal. Jesus.

I see you are on the side with c. James. This guy has helped bring down two progams because he is selfish. What did LSU do to him for him to hate LSU? Did we not offer him more money than SMU? Is he just protecting herbie and espn image? He seemed to like LSU before the herbie deal went down. So I guess you espn tools will help them bring down another program. TTU had the best coach they will ever have and a wimpy family brougth them down. My LSU family will stand proud to be a LSU Tiger win or lose. As far as I am concerned you fair weather fan are made from the same cloth as the person who threw the Jack Daniels bottle.

One thing they are NOT doing is saying Tennessee was cheated. Everyone has said it WAS the right call.

Palmer cited the Auburn game where they threw into the end zone and it worked, then talked about how he mismanages the clock often and how if he does it again he thinks Miles will be canned.
So if you mismanage and win 2 out of 3 it is bad?
