I live in Atlanta and it seems some are using this to deflect discussing whether Richt should be fired.
I'm hearing stuff like we're breaking in a new QB (but they weren't last year) and they're installing a new defense which is not able to stop anybody through the air or on the ground. One radio personality on the weekend who hosted the local CBS show sponsored by Kia who is a Bulldog fan after the game said on the air he called Kia and suggested they not award a player of the game because of the way it ended. Forget the kids that busted their butts throughout the game on both teams. I thought that was a stupid reaction. IMO, he was mad LSU did not lose. He refused to show any highlights. I'm sitting there wondering what's the purpose of the show then or the sponsorship? No one tuned in to watch a bald-headed man with a goatee trying to waste air-time.

We have some mentally challenged people on this site. I would think Les is good for business. College football fans eat this kind of shite up. They especially enjoy seeing one of the most high profile programs in the nation embarrass itself on national television. The ratings in the southeast alone have to be higher because other SEC fans love seeing one of the big dogs struggle like LSU has the last couple of years.

while I do not think much of ESPN's crews and their opinions...as most of them stink.

Check out page 3 of this thread. A nice ranter has posted a picture for you of DByrd on the ground in the endzone and the clock reads 0:04. You can't disagree with the clock. Seriously. Check it out.

their analysts and analysis stink, but like you said, it's pretty much mandatory to take a shot at Les if he's gonna serve it up to them in the manner that he did.
