Ford will do great things, and may even have a games better than Ware. We can only hope they compete and push each other.

They are two different type of backs so it is hard to say who is better. I expect Ford to finish the season with a better ypc average and Ware to finish with more TD's. Ford's biggest threat for playing time would be Gore.

Ford will get 10 or more touches/game this season, might see an even split with Ware.

When was the last time we saw an even split at RB from LSU?

Would you be mad if Ford transferred after this year if he did not get 7-8 carries a game?

every year the rant speculates on players transferring because of playing time...and it basically never happens outside of an oddball every 5 years or so.

Ford is probably the better home-run hitter, but Ware is much more of a complete football player, IMO. Going back to the Under Armour game, the reports were that Ware was the most talented player there...and many top recruits were there. Shortly after he got to campus, inside reports said he was the best back on the team, by a decent margin.

I watched the game on TV and the report seemed correct. He was the best looking back for both the teams. It was surprising how much he outperformed Marcus Lattimore while running behind the same o-line on the same offense.

It is almost like some people on here hope that players transfer away from LSU. I have never seen anything like it. Recently I saw a thread where someone was basically wishing Randle went to another team and he claimed to be an LSU fan.

You're nuts if you think Ware is drastically better than Ford..

Ford does seem a little robotic. Seems to get to the edge well for being so big though. he has shown good open field moves too. Ware does it all though. If we have them both in the backfield I think of the fake handoff up the middle and the quick pitch like we used to do with keiland.

Its a two back league. You don't make it through LSU's schedule without a second back to take over at times...lots of times.

It will be interesting to see which back is No. 3. I think Gore has gone WR?? Blue vs Hilliard?

I look forward to see them both see action. I think for LSU's offense to be succesful one will have to step up and be the horse and the other needs to contribute as well. Think it could be a great combo. Hilliard/James??????

I thought Gore is still a running back. A 3rd down and long specialist type back. I think it's going to be Ford vs Blue for the #2 spot. Hillard vs Magee for the true freshman who gets playing time role.

As a pure runner/receiver? Absolutely. Just needed some time to get the offense down. He'll be the best running back LSU has had since Faulk.

This is one hell of a prediction. Hope you're right.

Can anyone clarify the Gore position question? Has he been moved to WR?
