re: Has anyone ever coached a future Tiger... - Rudy40
My dad coached Todd Kinchen in 3rd and 4th grade he played qb and corner and safety. He used to kill rb's on the sweep he would hit them as they cut up field going full speed. Was amazed he was able to do that at such a young age!...

re: Anyone still mad about only using 12 of 15 practices? - Rudy40
They werent flat against Florida just bad in the red zone. If they were flat they wouldnt have been driving the ball up and down the field all day...

re: Who is your top five Defensive ends in LSU history. - Rudy40
Read my original post i said while Michael Brooks was a 3-4 OLB he very easily could have been a dominant end in a 4-3. Look up some of his games he overpowered bigger tackles routinely. In my opinion he is the best linebacker to ever play at LSU! ...

re: Who is your top five Defensive ends in LSU history. - Rudy40
Ill take Leonard Marshall Marcus Spears Marquise Hill Gabe Northern and while Michael Brooks was a 3-4 OLB i guarantee he could have been a monster DE in a 4-3 watch films especially Texas A&M game dude dominated offensive tackles overpowered them...

re: All we need is QB - Rudy40
Those 215lb linebackers did a pretty good job holding Bama scoreless for 3.5 quarters. They also stuffed Bama 4 straight downs on 1st and goal from the 4 and on their only other trip to the red zone held them to a field goal! ...

re: Why is Alabama so much stronger and more powerful than every other team? - Rudy40
To be fair OLine definitely was overpowered by Bama but LSUs front 7 on defense went toe to toe with Bama all game and if not for a crappy late hit call on White and LSU defense being worn down by being on the field all game due to poor offense Bama might never have scored either ...

Lora Hinton fumbled in the game in 1979? Are you serious dude what did they do pull him out of the stands to run the ball? He finished his eligibility in 1975 so how did he fumble in 1979: http://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/lora-hinton-1.html ...

re: Beckwith in perspective - Rudy40
Trev Faulk was good but he was no Michael Brooks. Many forget he tore his ACL ending his season in the 4th game against Florida. Started his soph jr years nd 4 games his senior year. If he plays his senior year easily 1st team all american probably SEC def player of the year and several more awards....

Yea after seeing Beckwith play would take him over Bradie in college that is. Bradie was a pretty good pro for several years but would still have Minter ahead of both...

re: Beckwith in perspective - Rudy40
Dude he is fast but nowhere near Michael Brooks speed and quickness. Brooks routinely ran plays down from the back side and ran down some fast rbs from the backside. Beckwith is good but Michael Brooks is easily the best Lber I have ever seen at LSU. Have seen em since 1972 Brooks is the best ...

re: Beckwith in perspective - Rudy40
Brooks and Hill were OLB.s and James a 4-3 MLB. I would rank him slightly behind Brooks in overall talent and about even with Hill and a little ahead of Bradie James...
