because I don't think Michael Ford did anything wrong last year and Ford has more experience, if you want to call it that considering they're both "freshmen."

I still REALLY REALLY like Michael Ford, but if Ware does this on a regular basis.....How can one argue against starting Ware?

he will do that on a consistent basis, great oline and if JJ improves a tad bit he will have a 1000 yard season with Ford having 600+

hell everyone and their grandma knew we were going to run it 75% of the time and Ridley had 1000 yards fwiw, he was good but by no means a burner or GREAT...just serviceable

I think both will be better backs than Ridley.

And we'll have them BOTH in the backfield getting playing time. Now THAT'S scary.

You're correct about it being hard to argue against starting Spencer Ware. I think Michael Ford will get plenty of carries, as well. I like both of them, and Gore shows lots of promise, as well.

Let's hope that our fullback play continues to improve.

Would much rather just Ware and Ware.

Ware certainly seems to have 'it' in regards to being a great RB in college. IMO

Yeah, this guy is likely just a practice squad body. Hilliard will see PT before this guy.

Miles obviously wants more out of Ford that he isn't getting. I don't know if it is a combination of his practice habits, his running style or classroom work. It just seems like he can't get on the field enough and he has already been passed up by a younger player. I expect him in rotations with Ware but it would not shock me to see him disappear this year in favor of other backs.

The rumor I heard was that Ford missed a curfew in Atlanta during UNC week by a shitload, which pushed him to the end of the line.

This has never been mentioned I am just throwing it out here. Would you be mad if Ford transferred after this year if he did not get 7-8 carries a game?

When he first got to campus I remember some radio shows were talking about the coaches weren't impressed with his body of work and toughness. I think that would be fair to say why he hasn't seen much. Mentally, he isn't there(or wasn't) because I don't think talent is a question. Maybe he is lazy and Miles penalizes him?

Ford will get 10 or more touches/game this season, might see an even split with Ware.

Probably not because it wouldn't surprise me. I think it would be a big mistake but that is his decision. LSU's system is more than favorable for multiple backs to excel in. Especially since Miles runs 70-30.

Like I said, I wouldn't be surprised to see Blue or Gore pass him up. Everybody talks down Blue but he did something right that impressed the coaches to get the touches as a true freshman until he got hurt.
