So let me understand this logic here....and that is if LSU has a winning season in '14. if LSU has a winning season in '14, that means that Jennings played and matured well enough. But in '15, Harris will have jumped a QB that's had a full winning season under his belt and gained experience with the college game and the SEC?

2011 says this logic is flawed.

Brandon Harris has exactly one advantage over the others. He can throw it through a wall.

I liked when cam was yelling at him to drop back faster and release. When he did that, that ball was flying.

Watch the Iowa game again and ask if it's serious. Rettig isn't Mett. He can actually run.

Yes, it's serious, why would you act like it's so obvious that Jennings can run and Rettig cannot? What have you seen of Rettig to conclude that he is less mobile than Jennings? I haven't seen Rettig play, I've only read about the kid and by all accounts he can run. Jennings, despite the tendency of many on here to assume otherwise, is a drop back pro style passer who also has good mobility. If you know something based on actual experience, please share.

To everyone talking about how Les is going to mismanage the QB situation again, remember, we have Cam now. Big difference.

One thing is certain. LSU fans will believe the backup should be the starter.....whichever one it is.

Haha... sad but true!

think he meant Brandon Harris looks better than he did, not better than the other QBs. But, I agree, if he meant better than the other QBs the battle would be over.
Ok, I think I'll evolve BH up from HarriSwag to JrJameiSwag!

JennJesuSwag to WR/RB. How long before that's announced? Massive when it goes down.

Penrod,

(1) You need to work on your reading comprehension. It sucks

(2) why do you have an exclamation mark in your title? Are you happy to think that Rettig is out of the mix? Why would you feel that way

Don't let OP fool you. He is excited to think that Rettig is out the QB competition. He saw two minutes of an high school all star game and he thinks he can evaluate quarterbacks. fricking terrible poster who reads into semantics to get off on being right...in his how mind.

there is only one way to solve this:
Chicken needs to get select posters on the Rant media passes to practice. Enough of Hanagriff, send OUR experts.

Rettig to be the next Flynn.

I saw Rettig play in HS, and I just don't think this is true. He looked very erratic, and at the time, I was disappointed that we were recruiting him.

Rettig was all the rave during he and Jennings recruitment. Excitement for Jennings didn't come until he was on campus.

Absolutely not. Jennings was praised highly during the Elite 11 competition. He was praised long before he got here.

ooks like Miles thinks it's a two horse race. All this from an Advocate article.

You have to hear the question that was asked before reading more into CLM's response. If a reporter asked him about Harris compared to Jennings, then CLM will respond by discussing the 2 QBs.

Don't read more into it than there is. It's spring practice. Alot can happen between now and the fall.

Sounds to me like its a one horse race at this point. LSU is going to have a true freshman start at QB this year. If BH is that good the next couple of years are going to be great.

Sounds that way to me, too. I know it's early, but it's beginning to look like Brandon Harris is the man.

You would think so, but Les having so much to say about the QB competition worries me.
