I don't pretend to know which QB will win the competition but I absolutely do take the coaches word that there IS a competition. I will say that Brandon has some unique skills and if he wins out, I'm fine with it. True freshman or not, he has the physical tools in abundance and is an exceptionally bright kid. Whether he wins out & starts immediately or not, he will be the not-too-distant future.

You strongly implied it and pounded your fist on the table about how important experience will be

Absolutely not. Jennings was praised highly during the Elite 11 competition. He was praised long before he got here.

Somewhat. Many people thought Rettig was better of the two. Jennings hyped picked up a lot of steam last spring when he jumped to the number 2 spot

Nah, Jennings had been hyped since before his Sr. Season when he was highly praised during the Elite 11.

You're remembering wrong. I said Bolden had a lot of experience and don't count it out, but never said he'd be the QB. We were arguing if there was more returning experience this year or in 2012.

With him moving to WR, this leaves the experience at QB the thinnest since 2008

Kind of hard to disagree with that. It is the thinnest.

One game and a couple of drives are all the experience at the QB position. I'd say that's pretty low.

Oh, wow, a typo? You can get back to dissecting Miles' interview for the umpteenth time trying to read the tea leaves. You know it's the first practice of spring, right?

Yes, based on comments Cam made about Rettig after the practice. He put enough air under the ball and was accurate. Not saying he is going to start but way too early to rule him out.

Heres the good news: Bama and aTm are both going through this same exact process.

He always said RIVERS looked good but never gave him a chance.

Rettig should be given a shot or allowed to transfer now.

I'd hang around if I were him. He's got a good shot to get some PT this year.

We've been through an ENTIRE spring practice and Rettig still hasn't been named the starter. He's clearly not getting a fair shake; Must transfer

Dude, there was more than a typo in there

It was an incoherent thought, wrapped in a brain fart, and punctuated with a typo. You are an idiot!

No way Miles starts a true freshman at QB. Things could go bad and he might win a start later in the season...

I am more worried about the receiving corps. That video yesterday looked horrible for catching the ball. JMHO

exactly

harris should redshirt

as far as the receivers go , the talent is there and they will get the timing down .....plenty of time for that....
