A few snaps a game. Ala Jennings last year but a little more involved with the play book

And so it begins...

I do hope Les is serious when he says the competition is wide open and goes with the guy he thinks gives us the best chance to win regardless of age. All these guys are very young but talented and I think Les will make the right choice when it comes time to make that decision.

I'm happy with any one who emerges as the best man for the job. Really glad that Cam is here now so that Les isn't the only eyes to determine who is truly the best. After all, he gave us Jordan Jefferson and we all know what he did in the NC.
We can do better!

Hopefully Rettig gets a chance to compete. I am not saying he is the best, because like the rest of us I do not know. I do think that it is foolish of us to anoint anyone as a starter, because none of them really has proved anything at this point. Good luck to all three.

how did some of you all pass reading comprehension? In no way did Les say that Harris was in the race and if he was even in first. Harris has improved from when he got here, not surprising, but he hasn't even grasped the playbook yet, not surprising since he just got here.

Wait until the summer to see the race take place because as of right now it is

Jennings
Rettig
Harris

Have you read on the QB expectations/obvious choice for QB @ LSU on the rant lately?

Because Jennings was obviously terrible vs. Iowa, Harris is just going to come in and start almost immediately. At least that's what quite a few want.

Why? I have no idea. The LAST thing I want to see is a true freshman starting at QB. If a true freshman is starting at QB, people just THINK Jennings was mediocre in a bowl game.

I see Harris. Having tough time making it through the season at 6'3" 180. Needs to add weight

You guys are retarded if you think a true freshman has any chance of starting at QB when there are other QBs with experience and tenure. Harris will be QB3 this is Les miles were talking about.

Don't buy into the media hype either about The QB situation. They have to write something. Don't forget this is the same media that proclaimed the advancement and progress of Jordan Jefferson. By their articles, dude should have won the heisman

Not saying you're wrong about Harris but Les did start a true freshman qb over a more experienced player just last year so I wouldn't say it's retarded.

No way Miles starts a true freshman at QB. Things could go bad and he might win a start later in the season...

I am more worried about the receiving corps. That video yesterday looked horrible for catching the ball. JMHO

This is true but this was for a bowl game that honestly meant nothing and our O line couldn't block the little sisters of poor. We needed a mobile QB as rivers and redding are far from mobile. Less will make you think there is competition but no way he starts.

No you are retarded if you think Cam wont play who he thinks is best. How do you know that BH hasnt learned the playbook? Do you have inside information? I dont know who is going to start but neither does anyone on this board.

Sounds to me like its a one horse race at this point. LSU is going to have a true freshman start at QB this year. If BH is that good the next couple of years are going to be great.

Wtf are you talking about

I know because I am an avid LSU fan that had seen enough of Les Miles to know his scheme. The only way Harris starts is if something were to happen to Jennings and Redding.

And people already want to push out that QB because a shinny new toy came along

You're discrediting Les starting a freshman in a bowl game because you deem it to have meant nothing. No chance Jennings was the best option, huh? Youre an idiot.

And Rettig is mobile, but you saw a white guy and assumed he was slow. Nice.

So you think its funny? It is not about a shiny new toy. It is about starting the most talented player. BH has been on campus three months it is not like he is a true freshman coming in. He has had plenty of time to learn the playbook. From what I read and not having the entire article when I posted that, I took it to mean that BH looked better than AJ. Also people were saying he looked better at practice. If he continues to improve who knows.
