A poster on the rant said Naz Reid is on his visit right now and said his girlfriend is on the women's team. Sure nuf, there is a girl named Raven Farley from "New Jersey!"

Being on the bench doesn't mean you dont play. He would still probably play 20 minutes a game or so.
Like a lot of CBB fans I don't think you guys understand the ways these kids think. Nearly every single kid in high major D1 basketball wants to put himself in the best position to make it to the NBA (no matter how unrealistic it is that they will actually achieve that goal). To think that Mays, who started as a freshman, is going to be okay with coming off the bench his junior and senior years is a pretty naive thought imo. I dont think it would be too much of a loss if Mays transfers but I also don't think a sophomore Tremont Waters will be that much better than Mays anyway. Just trying to visualize what the roster will look like when Smart gets here and what the areas of need are/Will be.

Mays is really not very good. He's good depth, but that's about it.

I've seen multiple cases of Naz Reid and Smart speaking on social media so it wouldn't surprise me at all if Reid followed Smart to BR. It would be a tremendous get for LSU not only because of how much it helps LSU's frontcourt, but also because Kentucky is also considered a frontrunner to get Reid and this would keep then from adding another one of the country's best post players

It is kind of crazy to think that most of these kids envision themselves playing in the NBA and actually having the talent worthy of such an achievement, but it is what it is...Mays more than likely will be gone if he is relegated to the bench behind younger and plain better players. Sad to see that happen if he does in fact leave after the dust settles, but my gosh, how can some of these kids really think they can hang with the LeBron's and Durant's of the world???

It takes a ridiculous amount of confidence to even get to this level.

If this is just speculation, it does no good to talk about this now. Mays, and any other player on the roster, should understand that the situation will be fluid, he will be given a fair shake and additional good players just provide extra talent and depth. He WILL play and he'll play a lot if he keeps producing and team plays well together when he is on the court. If he, or any other player, expects guaranteed playing time regardless of results or impact on the team, then he needs to take a step back and get a proper understanding of his role and how things work. Wade (and any good coach) won't care how a player envisions himself. For his own good and the good of the team, the player needs to work hard and do whatever he needs to do to help the team win.
