And to think that LSU could have gotten Wade earlier. Instead very good talent was wasted by Jones and co. If he coaches half as good as he recruits, Wade will have a statue of himself in Baton Rouge.

For those that are surprised where we're you thinking he would end up? I figured he was an LSU lock once Cal fell in love with Quickly.

No need to make a passive remark that Kentucky passed on him. Don't act like he wasn't a take for 99% of the country

Just because Kentucky passed he pretty much could have gone anywhere, so yeah, it's a big deal he's trying to put out our dumpster fire

Wait what? Every team needs bench players and just because you don't start doesn't mean you won't be playing plenty of minutes. If Wade can talk these guys into committing I think he can handle recruiting his own roster for what ever roll he deems necessary to win a ship. It's not that hard actually, these guys just wanna win and try to advance to the next level. Wade obviously gives them that chance. If he doesn't buy in see ya wouldn't be very hard to find someone just as good or better to take that spot. GT

I'm not acting like Kentucky passed on him, Cal has taken multiple PG's in a class before, and I think Smart was rated their #2 PG.

He's a great pickup for anyone, including Kentucky.

If Wade can reel in Ried and Leblanc, that's a monster first recruiting class. He'd have those 3 + Bigby-Williams and one more scholarship to give

What's scary to think about is that not only is Will Wade going to start getting some big time talent here...the players are going to be playing with such focus and hustle that we haven't seen in a long arse time.

If we get Naz Reid.

Will Wade is doing things that other coaches before him at LSU never did bringing in these type of players. Before him a Smart would have went to a Kentucky or Duke, N Carolina, etc. Great job, coach Wade !

Wade is the man!

LSU has an excellent shot to land Reid, LeBlanc, and Archie too.

Believe me, I am STOKED with Will Wade. But let's not act like this is unusual for LSU. Dale Brown use to bring these guys in most years he was head coach. Wade is restoring order at LSU now.

I'm talking about the modern era, not going back to Dale Brown. I know about coach Brown, I was a young man in that era, but that was a long time ago. When I say other coaches I'm talking about the Jone's, Johnson's, and Brady's.

All three signed top 30 players! It's not very hard to keep the conversation on Coach Wade

Are you forgetting Simmons? Simmons was the #1 high school prospect and passed on Duke to join his Godfather or whatever.

Good point, I am 47, and the 80's don't seem all that long ago to me. Coaches Brady and Jones still brought in quite a few top flight players. I just have a GREAT feeling about Wade though.
